I knew for years he was lying about money and I did nothing- 'when someone shows you who they are, believe them the first time'. Took me 9 yrs to get solvent but now I only have a small mortgage and no other debt. I would be far better off however if I'd never met him- or got out within the first couple of years!

People don’t often cope well with trauma. War changes people… the images that won’t leave the mind. The flashbacks. The awful nightmares. The kids. Guilt. Survivor guilt. Regret. Losing buds. Not excusing affairs, but psychology is huge. Have you ever taken care of veterans? Medically? Seen their medical & psych history? Watched their nightmares? Consoled them? I have. It’s tragic. I try not to judge others. It’s not my job. But I do try to understand behavior. Humans are complex. We mess up. Many relationships don’t succeed. Definitely after soldiers return home after deployment too. People do illogical things… are impulsive, self-destruct, pursue unhealthy partners, name it! Honestly, I prob responded cuz I’m alarmed by military stats. I encourage you to check out mental illness & SI in soldiers post-war. Take care!

I really liked them both as I was hoping they could work it out. Everyone is different. Many people don't just STOP loving someone in one day. I found out they ARE still together . It's actually far worse than that! She may have got rid of Michael before this guy even came along. They had an affair for a few months and he could probably sense She was unstable and said he wanted to finish the affair. She BEGGED him to leave his wife which she would not do. After Michael's (her husband) death she spent years contacting his family abd friends via fb and texts pretending he was still alive. She uses her dead husbands Facebook to contact this guys wife (oh yeah - sent flowers to this guys wife's work place to initiate contact) and, pretending to be her dead husband, sent photos of them together and said 'look my whore of a wife and your husband have been having an affair!'. (flowers purchased traced back to her credit card). When confronted years later about her husbands death she says that either he (this guy) killed her husband cos he said he could get away with it, she bought concrete at around the time they were together OR it was the next married guy she was sleeping with (cos the firepit wasn't constructed until the second guy and her husband was buried there). Police investigated both and saw she was clearly full of excrement so when they go back to her again, she then pins it all on her daughter who was supposedly 6/7 at the time. Doesn't explain how exactly her husband got buried which is why she's had to alter her testimony yet again that he wad present cos someone had to be blamed for dumping the body! She's one nasty piece of work! The devastation of lives around her including her own children's is vile.
