Miseducation of Lauryn Hill is one of the 20th century 3 top albums.
@cmberrian Жыл бұрын
The Miseducation of Lauren Hill. The whole album is great from start to finish, I grabbed it right when it first came out. Shows you how old I am, but I'm glad I was born when I was born and got to experience the world before the Internet and cellphones as great as those things may be in their way, the world just seemed more... eh, idk, real, I guess? Like this music.

EXACTLY, me too. I remember the music store where I bought it .. yes, we used to buy physical CDs from a store 😊 And that album changed my musical life completely

Different times.. no social media.. no mobile phones... Freedom of speech.. no Lockdowns.. affordable housing.. what a time to be alive.
@Priority763 жыл бұрын
Well yes, I agree, I look back on 1999 fondly. But there were plenty of mobile phones in that year and in what way is there no ‘freedom of speech’ today? And I don’t see the lockdown as a bad thing, it served a purpose and I found it a positive experience: not having to socialise, quiet streets, not having to work (for some people).
@disarmsox3 жыл бұрын
@@Priority76 big tech routinely censor speech or opinions it deems to be inappropriate. Universities too. Lockdowns were a product of the Chinese Communist party which was copied and imposed on to Western so called liberal democracies and are not without collateral damage, with them pushing millions more people in to extreme poverty - UN, and creating a 10 year backlog for routine NHS treatment. As well as the huge increase in people passing away at home and suicides. There is no evidence that Lockdowns saved a single life, but the evidence of their harms to our heath and civil liberties is mounting on a daily basis.
@disarmsox3 жыл бұрын
@@Priority76 humans are social creatures and require social interaction with other humans to live a fulfilling life. Isolation is as harmful as smoking. Millions of people (the elderly, those that live alone especially) were cut off from our social circles and isolated which came at a great price to our physical and emotional well being. To say that the Lockdowns were a good thing shows a complete lack of understanding of the social and economical damage they have caused.
@Priority763 жыл бұрын
@@disarmsox That's fine my friend. Looks like we have come to some different conclusions about the world. Try to stay away from that social media you dislike, it looks like it may have given you pretty wacko opinions already.
@disarmsox3 жыл бұрын
@@Priority76 what the hell is wacko about wanting to protect ones mental and physical well being? If you support Lockdowns (something that has never been done before) then you also support the Chinese Communist party as that is their origin. Maybe go and live there and leave our way of life and freedoms intact.

Wow never seen this performance. Lauryn Hill swag and stage presence are elite👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾. I don't think I have ever seen a bad performance from her. Love the way she transitions her songs. This is one hell of a performance and what makes it better is there are no theatrics. I don't mind theatrics every now and then, but sometimes it's seems more personal and better when there is the artist, band, the mic and the music. Thanks for the upload 👍🏾. Love the quality too 💯👌🏾.

Band should have slowed the fuck down. They were rushing her : drummer/ bongos too freaking excited . Calm down; you ain’t the attraction
@GuillaumeL-ib6pf2 ай бұрын
I'm not sure if they are rushing her, or if she's rushing and they are trying to keep up. It's a recurring problem in her concerts, as if she had to prove a point by projecting a lot of energy at once, disregarding tempo. It's even more blatant in her recent appearances where she can only give it for so long and then the show is very short.
