Thanks so much for such a great video! In any application where you find that the transient detail or top is too much, the 15k filter setting adds gentle smoothing and takes the edge right off. 10k gets pretty beefy. We hope you enjoy them!

"Too much", understatement of the century:-) Kinda silly to put out a mic that needs a ton of subtractive EQ out of the box.

@@hepphepps8356 It's not EQ. Every microphone utilizes resistors and capacitors to shape sound after the capsule, but their settings are fixed. We give you a switch that allows you to select between them, including the equivalent of a near-bypass. So you can think of each as a fixed setting or another microphone. 😉

Ok, Thanks! Staying away from these! These are really unbearably bright. Nothing wrong with your work here! The same insane high end pokes through even on their own promo videos. Really kind of the opposite of a classy small diaphgram condenser.

Yeah they are definitely bright, but the option of the low pass filter definitely help tame it. At this price point for two mics I cant expect to much tbh. Thanks!

@@ju1ceaudio Have you checked out the vanguard V1s? A bit more expensive, but judging from all I can find of examples and comparisons here on YT, they seem to be in a legaue far beyond these. People are raving about both, though, so it’s hard to judge in any meaningful way without directly comparing.
