The passionated and truthfull way he describes his art and the mongolian culture made me find it interesting even though i thought i wouldn 't be. Also very impressive the ground that they were fighting on ,full of spreaded rocks... Nice work!

Very nice, I love to see dedication regardless of the art! Most of these traditional arts will unfortunately die if there is not more people like this to promote and preserve.

I love how it's relaxed enough that the stand merchant steps-in to stop the two guys wrestling into his stand.

I saw Vlad Koulikov do a collaboration with this guy. They were discussing the differences in the entries between Sambo and Shuai Jiao. Side note: you got a shout out on Chadi’s channel because of the overlap in content.

Mongolians now dominate the world of sumo and have even metaled in world championship freestyle wrestling. Their hardy way of life and understanding of nature might have something to do it with it. Great video.

Nice video, and a great insight into Mongolian wrestling culture. In the video he alluded to the Mongolian culture being politically suppressed, in what way is this happening?
@MuShinMartialCulture3 жыл бұрын
He is more knowledgeable on that topic

There are several issues, one of them is the banning of Mongolian language in schools. There were big protests over this not too long ago. Another issue is of course the ongoing "hanification" of previously Mongol lands. Take for example the old circuit of Jehol, this used to be almost 100% Mongolian. Slowly, the pastures were turned into agricultural land, the Mongols changed their lifestyle and began speaking Chinese, even among themselves. There are more issues of course, but you'll have to speak to actual Mongolians to find out I guess.

Great episode! Lavell insight was great. This episode brought back memories of my time working in the Huogeqi Sumu, in Bayannur. Byron, did have some boiled goat meat with horse milk wine or salted milk tea while you were there ?

So, ultimately control of your weight is the key? Here and overall?

Utilization and control of weight
@skvltdmedia Жыл бұрын
@@MuShinMartialCulture How I meant it. Makes perfect sense. Weight control meant your control over your own body/weight and then thinking how to apply it externally.
