I'm having mi 11 for a month, done many tests, found it is unbelievable good then shooting with mcpro24fps (6K 10bit footage) or Filmic Pro. Native app pro mode is great, but I would use it only in cases there is no time for more settings.

Hey Mindaugas, thank you so much for the kind words! Trying to post more consistently 😃 Ah yes 100%. I would use FilmicPro over the default camera app on any smartphone. In this video though, I just wanted to showcase that you wouldn’t need to purchase an external app to get great looking footage 😃 Oh and FilmicPro is yet to support 8K if I’m not mistaken 🤔

@@umarnaq Yes, the default app pro video mode is one of the best implementations when compared to any other manufacturer. By the way - 8K video is not real there. It is upscaled from 6K, which is native resolution of Mi 11's HMX sensor 27mpx - 6016x3392mpx. So there goes the marketing..:D But the 6K is real and great here. Available in mcpro24fps (i use dev build, but should be available soon on market), also 10 bit is available (with any resolution and framerate). For FilmicPro - I doubt it that it go beyond 4K.

I'm genuinely curious as to why pros (like yourself) wouldn't want to replace their big cameras with these new phones. Because as you said, cinematic camera, all lenses in one device, LIGHTER, it also shoots RAW and it's pretty much more practical. Is it just because you guys are just so used to your cameras?🤔 Just curious. Because for me, your video pretty much convinced me to move on from my DSLR.😅

That's a great question. The answer to that is quite simple honestly - Sensor Size, Dynamic Range & Lens Flexibility. The Xiaomi phones are one of the only ones that are increasing their sensor sizes to almost match the DSLR size (which I why I love reviewing Xiaomi cameras). If phones start making their sensors the same size as DSLRs along with third party optical support, I'd switch in a heartbeat 😃✌🏻
