Ok, so maybe time loop? Here’s the odd things I picked out: 1)The teacher talks about flickering lights, and the narrator turns his flashlight on and off a few times 2) the teacher said that he heard the cries of an animal, and the MC described his own screaming similarly 3) the roof fell on the teacher’s friend’s head, and the MC fell through the floor 4) The teacher came in through the door not the house, so the car lights that the MC thought he saw could have been the teacher’s car, with the opening of the door being them coming in. Some things I wondered while listening to this were the following: How did the kids get there? Were they kidnapped? Are the kids from Jacks experience the same kids his teacher saw? If so how did they not age? Are the kids just demons? Is it blood coming out of the shower heads or is it dirty water? Who owned that barn? How many people have been to the barn before and not come back? When was the barn made? It’s really interesting to think about all the details of the story and try to make sense of them.

@ranchustars30503 жыл бұрын
My personal theory is that the children were kidnapped in their sleep, and taken to the barn, where they were possibly tortured or just murdered in the showers, with tar probably, but maybe a mixture of tar and some animals blood. They became ghosts, most are probably vengeful ghosts, which explains why they take people, and maybe some are more passive? to explain why they didn't just go ahead and kill the teacher and his friends immediately. The barn was probably made around when people still wore nightgowns.
@simp13323 жыл бұрын
I personally think the children where Kidnapped and then taken to the barn and killed and became ghosts some were probably vengeful and others not. I think the one that the protectionist encountered was trying trying to help him get out, just a theory of mine.
@lavenderlaceration3 жыл бұрын
I had a couple theories about this so sorry if this is long. 1) whatever is leaking out of the shower head could be some sort of goop that creates these children, maybe out of the blood of their victims idk. They never found the one guy's body because it was ground up and transformed into those children. The yelping sound was whatever creature whoever wanted a child made a deal with, The children listen to it and that's why they didn't act before it yelped and told them what to do. This part has no basis and is all speculation. Whoever owns the barn wanted a child for some reason and made a deal with some dark entity that if they sacrificed the blood of someone they could have one. They got the child but it was bloodthirsty and killed them, their blood used to make another one. Every so often someone would come down into the pit and the children would attack them, making another child. 2) The goop is blood of those who have trespassed and is used to feed these demonic children. They're demons so they don't age. The reason Jack couldn't tell it was blood and the reason it was described as incredibly thick was because there was a container or something storing the blood and over time it congealed into the thick substance seen here. 3) the children are spirits of the victims of whatever creature was making those sounds, turned into its minions to kill and feed it. The shower liquid is blood to either feed the demon or the children. 4) whoever made these tunnels was a serial killer who murdered children and children exclusively. They kept them down there in awful condition until they starved to death and eventually came back as the ghost children we see today. Whoever the voice at the end was could have been either the murderer themselves saving Jack or a merciful child spirit who doesn't want anyone else to die, wanting to save people from the pain they endured and not make others feel it like the other children. 5) to start this one off it's going to be the longest and I don't believe it to be the authors intent at all, I just think it's a fun thought to have. this one is a little out there I know so bear with me. This barn is a place where different time periods all collide at once. People from different time periods can interact with one another without even knowing. The children aren't really children, they're how whoever in the current time period perceives those from others and how they are perceived. Why do the "kids' have such malice towards the people in the tunnel if they're just other people? They see them as the children and are both terrified of them and are enraged by their presence, most people probably thinking that they're the reason they're stuck in this tunnel. The noise of pain that Jack makes was that yelping / barking that the teacher said he heard. The person who opened the door was someone from another time period, they weren't talking to Jack and that's why the words didn't really make sense and they didn't seem to register what jack said at all. The child staggering towards him was probably just another person in pain trying to sneak around jack who they perceive as a child to get to the door. This could also explain why the lights are on in the barn even if no one appeared to be there, someone IS there, Just someone from another time period that they can't see. The whole area in which the grass surrounded is affected by this weird wormhole, it's just strongest in the tunnels which is why everyone from the different times can still see each other. The wormhole isn't a perfect look into the other timelines though, distorting and warping details which is why the silo seems to magically disappear, they only saw faint shadows of a person in the barn and whythe people look like the children. WOO BOY that was long Jesus Christ, feel free to reply with your thoughts on these if you read them I think it would be fun.

My theory is that the barn is storing children for human tr*fficking, and the showers are there to keep them clean but the water is so dirty it has the opposite effect. The children are probably rarely fed to keep them too weak to run out or fight back. Maybe the child was angry because when he fell through he landed on one of their friends, or more likely because they were starving and saw he had meat on his bones. This theory doesn’t explain the end, so it’s probably more likely a portal to some evil realm lol

I have a theory: This barn was originally used for human trafficking and these are the souls of children who were victims. The teacher's friend was killed because the children wanted vengeance for their deaths but they couldn't differentiate whether or not they were working with the people who kidnapped them, so out of fear and pure emotion they took him. Jack almost met the same fate but the spirit chasing him realized last minute that he was not to blame for their deaths and opened the door, letting him go.

For the ending I feel like the girl in the gown opened the door. Perhaps who ever owned the barn was a murderer and the victims were thrown into a well or where ever the showers got water from and that why the liquid was thick. As for why they attacked the teacher I’m not sure maybe they wanted people to leave because they didn’t want them to die? It’s a random idea I came up with. Edit: maybe The who ever was the first to die, was the one who made the tunnel as like a secret hideaway as kid and then tried hide there while being chased by the murderer , then the killer brought more people and killed them throwing them in the water source, over loading the filter for the showers. Maybe the reason the girls attacked the teacher was because they were trespassing and the killer or something. The trees grabbing at you may be the killer trying to take you or is the girls trying to stop you from entering they’re property Edit: I have typos in here so clarification i meant the girls attacked because the teacher and co looked like the killer but aren’t. The kids either died all together or died in certain time period in which sleeping in night gowns were common

Actually that makes a lot of sense. It could also be that since the girls in the showers were just human trafficked victims from another point in time and not actually ghosts. That way three separate time points were colliding in that building. 1- the past with the human trafficked girls. 2- the teachers time period when he and his friends came. 3- and our protagonists time where he was in the showers

There’s an area my uncle owns (I will be referring to my uncle as Uncle Tom to protect his privacy. I will also not be revealing the state or city that it is located in.) I hadn’t seen him in im guessing over 5 years, I cant remember how old I was the last time. I recently visited him along with a lot of my family. I had a great time. One day I remember vividly for some reason was my older cousin asking if I wanted to throw rocks at the dead coyote. This was normal. He was always the weird one of the group. Even so, I went with him and my little cousin and my older brother. The coyote was rotting. Mostly bone. But, that day isn’t the main focus of this. On the last night, Uncle Tom told us a story around the campfire. The story was around the lines of "people around here have been going missing for weeks. When they’d find their bodies, they’d always be found with a huge head injury. It looked like their head was smashed with an axe. People have also reported seeing something in the distance, but when they looked at it, it was gone. They could only see it in the corner of their eyes. It was a young woman in a wedding dress holding an axe." but the one part that stood out to me was that he said he saw it on his security camera. A young woman in a wedding dress holding an axe. He showed us the photo for proof. I don’t know why I connected the coyote story to this, but something tells me it may have something to do with it, but there’s no evidence for it. The coyote was rotting on the side of a cliff.
@FreshCarrotsFinally3 жыл бұрын
Maybe the woman died after falling off the cliff, perhaps she tripped on the wedding dress. She might've bashed people's heads in as some kind of ghost, most likely with the axe. Maybe she kidnapped them, made them help work on her wedding dress, then kill them. She'd probably destroy her wedding dress on impact with the ground. I doubt she could be alive if she can only be seen out of the corner of your eye. She can probably only be seen indirectly, like throw a camera, reflection, heavy mist or the corner of your eye. Maybe she made people sacrifice animals to her on the cliff where she died, then bashed their heads in. And maybe, just maybe, throwing rocks at her rotting sacrifice wasn't the best idea. But that's just a theory, I really don't know.

What I find interesting is that, he didn't say it WAS Steve's voice through the door, just that he was "certain" it was Steve's voice. He makes it very clear he's freaking out in this moment, so it could be himself mistaking whoever's on the other side for any kind of familiar voice. As for wether or not the creepy child or whoever/whatever was on the other side opened the door, it's hard to say. 🤔 I also find it interesting they wanted him to really look at the creepy child. Maybe it just wanted to freak him out, so that he'd never come back?

@@LavenderTowne It may have been a different version of this, but the one I remember did include the animal. It's when he's stuck in the pit. He suddenly hears the animal noise, and the lights flash on, then off. In the afterglow of the old bulbs, the MC can make out that it's an elk/deer, but there's something seriously wrong with it. Side note, am I the only person who felt distracted with the fact that the teacher said, "I love Halloween and I want to share exactly why!" and then he proceeds to tell a story that, while scary, has nothing to do with Halloween, and definitely didn't give the vibe that he loved what happened? Small detail, I know... but I kept wondering "So where is the part that made him love Halloween?" lol A very creepypasta regardless!

Judging by all the comments about time loops thats what makes the most sense to me, but i have something to add i feel like that barn is some sort of distorted reality that savages and lets past and future affect themselves in odd ways, also in the story the teacher said he saw glimpses of something that wasn’t really there or something like that, perhaps it was his dead friends soul wandering around looking for an escape or a way to pass on, or jack crawling around like manic. (Ps the children never physically touched them and the teacher says “They took him” i feel like that the children are illusions or souls either with a touch to slowly and forcefully trap others like them for a false promise of escape or they are simply false illusions of the real mastermind.) (Ps Ps After one is touched they wouldn’t be able to leave because their mind would slowly die leaving anger and agony for what could’ve been, they might try to take care of themselves with “The Showers” when they are still in the right mind, slowly they wouldn’t be able to fit in they’re old clothes and since they have no use over time they are forgotten and buried, these things live for 250 years each no matter how old the host was before, back to the decaying mind soon they would stop trying, let they’re hair run wild the clothes be dirty and simply no longer care also if your curious where they get the gowns they get an instinct to dig in an odd place and its there, also after the mind starts decaying they slowly forget things like they’re name or opening doors, the only thing they would remember is hatred, anger and agony.) hoped you like my thoughts on this story!
