My first ever story was based on W.I.T.C.H. and totally spies, but it completely derailed because I was a kindergartener when I thought of it! The mc had an alien sister, there was a lost sister storyline and their mother had gotten lost in a forest for years (but survived?) There was a mermaids special which was a crossover with another one of my stories, they defeated a dragon queen at one point and there were furry thieves. I've tried to salvage it many times, but I honestly don't think it can be saved 😭😭😭

And I assume the rest of the story will follow misfortunes of the two and problems they have to solve together.

13:12 i hope you dont mind but-- i was raised catholic and one of my biggest all-time questions for my priest was always "where do babies go if they die?" and the church actually went through a few places before they settled on their current descision! at first, it was said that babies automatically went to hell, because they hadnt been forgiven of original sin, then the church said "actually thats a lil messed up" so they decided that babies probably go to purgatory (limbo, basically), and that was widely accepted for like, a while. relatively recently, though, the church decided that babies probably go to heaven, because like, theyre babies n stuff. so yeah! youre not technically incorrect, depending on when this is set and how up to date you are on the catholic church lol

Unicorn slaughter! Maybe you were going for "Cole's Law" some saying or belief the MC was holding onto for the whole story. The fact that written out being a food makes it a recurring site gag to MC's chagrin. Booting an angel character into hell and forcing him to buddy up with a local is certainly going to test some personal philosophies. Even with the older still experimenting artstyle, your coloring preferences are still present.

I actually read coleslaw! The original! You mentioned the comic in an older video you had made that I watched and I wanted to read the comic. So I had looked it up and found a website thing that had somehow like, saved or recovered some of the comics from the website that got shut down that you said you originally posted the comic on. So I got to read the whole story and I LOVED IT. Sure some things were confusing and stuff, but it was great and I loved the concept and things. When I finished reading everything that was written, I was sad that it was over and felt like it wasn’t really completed/finished and that I was sort of left on a cliffhanger. I would absolutely LOVE if at some point you could actually redo the comic and post it somewhere! You don’t have to of course. I know that you’re probably busy and have other things going on and stuff that you’re working on, so even if you do choose to redo the comic you probably won’t be able to until much later. But I would really love to see it and I bet others would too! Then you can make it even better and do all the things you wish you had done with the original, and even more people will get to experience the story and great concept but in an even better way! It’s such a great concept/idea and had/has great potential, and I would love to see what you could do with it! I bet it would be so amazing and I really would love to see it. So if you can, I would love it if you could at some point maybe try and re-make the comic (if you want to).
@MOplease104 ай бұрын
Even if you don’t redo it, maybe you could add to the original or something. Since the original didn’t feel totally completed kind of, so you could finish it sort of and continue with the story or something idk. I just would love to see you do more with it because it has a ton of potential and with your current skill you can totally do incredible things with it!

ive been writing my own comic VERY inconsistently since seventh grade, (im going into my senior year of highschool). I recently rediscovered my love for drawing as i got on antidepressants, havent really been drawing much since 8th grade but its been and always has been a part of my identity. Anyways as i draw i always imagine it actually being a comic other people can read but that takes a lot of work so i just stuck to paper and pencil, besides i didn’t really understand digital art and i still dont. After watching this video and seeing the planning process it really helped me understand how to plan this idea to make it a reality which i am currently doing. I didn’t realize how hard is to be consistent so i’m planning everything out instead of just adding panels which is what it did before. I just redesigned the characters, and i had so much new ideas but they conflict with others so now i have to sort through everything and i probably actually have to make a plot too 😅 milinotes is definitely a big help tho, its literally what my brain would create if i could create a notes app like it’s actually just perfect i can’t believe its free, and it seems more efficient for me than a planner (i have severe adhd and have trouble organizing my tasks)

It’s so cool to see an artist’s old work. You can see how much they progressed. Also it’s really neat to see this because I’m a teen working on my own webcomics, and I definitely struggle with getting things sorted out (especially the main storyline/plot). My first webcomic’s premise is basically that ancient robots start to reanimate in a sort of magical post apocalyptic world, and two kids have to stop them! I started it when I was thirteen and finished the first chapter last year. My other webcomic is about a werewolf and a witch who are both fugitives. It centers around them trying to survive and they eventually fall in love (of course lol). I’m currently working on the prologue.

I love this so much!!! It's so fun to see you walk through and recreate an old webcomic! It's also so inspiring, and it makes me want to do it myself! I'd love to see more of this kind of thing, I think it would be so fun to see more how your process works and work along with you on making a new project!

This webtoon looks like something I`d write if i became 12 again and got silly while writing the first few pages. Edit: this is talking about the og, not the remake.

one of my first comic ideas was a creepypasta fancomic where all the fan favs were in highschool, very much inspired by my love for monster high at the time 😭

Guys, I’m an artist and from experience, this new “Milanote” thing that’s been spreading as a sponsor from artist to artist is AMAZING. It’s SO USEFUL for brainstorming and planning whether you write, draw, even develop games. I’m not trying to yk promote anything but I’m just saying it’s actually so useful for ANYTHING

this is genuinely so sweet. I already thought your childhood art and concepts were so genuine and full of love and enthusiasm and I found the art to be so charming, but seeing your improvement as both an artist and storyteller is so lovely! You were already building off a foundation of a love of art and Making Stuff as a kid, and it shows in the new designs for sure. I'd definitely pick up that Coleslaw cover from the bookshelf while browsing the library!

I was 13/14 when I had a comic on flipnote (the dsi app thing) I. don't remember a lot. The main character was a pack leader wolf girl, who was best friends with a vampire princess. There was also the wolf girl's fiancé (arranged marriage situation) who she fell out of love with in order to fall in love with like, the secondary villain lol. And a dragon boy that joined them?? There main villain was named OWL and he was trying to destroy the world for?? reasons?? Anyway, he killed MC's dad so the whole quest was revenge for him 😂 I was more interested in the character relationships than the fantasy world and over all plot. I came up with some cool locations tho. A tree top camp for the revolution to hide out in, inaccessible unless you could fly or had a pact with the spirits of the forest. But the spirits were tricksters, so while the pact gave access to the tree top and the safety of the location, it slowly would infect your body and harm you. Anyway 😂

Calling a Russian character "vodka" is like calling a Mexican character "tequila"😔😔 Though..I'm Russian, and I love this, lmao

i really love your designs, you're actually one of my motivations for making good character designs. I struggle with it a lot but seeing yours help me a lot. I am also still changing my character's design bcs when i made them i didn't searched anything abt the cultures i was refering to (i just did a session of reseachs abt middle east culture bcs one of my characters is inspired by it) anyways, i wanted to say that i love your arts and how you design your characters and it inspire me a lot

Seeing the process involved here was really helpful and inspirational! I've been working on my own webcomic since high school and recently decided to restart it (because I only planned very basic pieces and mostly focused on the characters' magical girl designs). Thanks so much for the great video as always!

Omg, I have no desire to make a webcomic but I am slowly chipping away at the novel I'm writing but I have a few books I never finished and its because I had no plan either loll. The latest one before my current got to 8 chapters long. 8 chapters of nothing really happening loll. I did learn how to discribe things beautifully tho! (Whoever is reading this rn is cool and gets good luck!!)
