The bit about knowing how to simplify outfits for smol cuts is so relevant, and hardly anyone talks about it! I only discovered how badly my character needed redesigning once I realized how complicated their chibis were becoming in comic panels. Unfortunately, the genre I'm sketching characters for (scifi) really does need details like belts to look right, so my compromise is using an outline tool just to get parallel lines that resemble belts or cyber lines

Seeing the old design compared to the new, I was wondering if there was a specific reason why the skin tone, which was a very striking unrealistic grey, was changed to a more natural pale one, because the grey skin was a very striking and integral part of the old design. And also, if the rest of the cast will undergo similar changes.😊

up to what i know this is a monster x monster hunter type of story, so since the monster's job is to be a paramedic, then i imagine that their dynamic is "you don't scare me, you would not survive my job, killing what you hate is easy, try failing to save what you love". And in the end the monster hunter fails to save her monster gf, so it is kinda poetic

This video helped me get motivated to do proper redesigns, refining and character sheets... finally lol. I am writing a book, not a comic, but I do daydream about making it into a visual novel, so I *know* I need to do everything I can. Even for book descriptions, having a character sheet on hand is really helpful to me personal and I have been really neglecting them, oops. I actually made a group of OCs inspired by your old video on this. They look so different now and instead of just being designs, they have their own 21 arcs long story. Each arc is basically a new 300 page comic. But I need to finish a lot more designs before I can start drawing more than the first 21 pages.
