2007 Adam Gilchrist Puma Ballistic 6000 C S S Bat Review

Here is my full review of a 2007 Puma Ballistic 6000 C C S like the one Adam Gilchrist used in the 2007 World Cup Final and when I passed 100 Sixes in Test Cricket. Supplied by bills_cricket_bats on Instagram.
Now as for Core Stabiliser System or C. S . S - I have no idea what that was. Anyone knows?

Thanks Zain. Took a lot of trial and error and research. Arriving at the Sony ZV1 solved much of the colour and focus issues. Larger sensors like the Canon M1 introduced artefacts and the Olympus OMD 5 MK2 lacked 4K and the video tech was behind. Having my mobile stolen was painful but I have actually been impressed with the Oppo FindX5 Pro’s improved colour look and dedicated image processing chip. Then I just went over the top with a second camera, Atem Switcher and preview. Setup is suitable for on-location shoots, I just don’t have the time atm.

I purchased one of these direct from the Puma rep while I was working at Sportspower in 2007. I was lucky that I had a great relationship with the store owner and he let me purchase it at the wholesale price which I think was $370. It has literally sat in its bag in a dark cupboard since. 9 grains across. Never been oiled. The original barcode is still wrapped around the base of the handle. I had intentions of having it farmed and mounted but have never gotten around to it. I have thought about selling it a few times but was always worried that people might think the signature was fake as it didn't come with any sort of authentication. Great to see this video showing the origins of the bats. I actually got it out this morning and started researching it as I'm going to try and sell it. Great video my friend. Many thanks

Love the sound of the ball from this bat, it pings from toe till stickers. I bet the ping must b better then 90 percent of these days top notch bats

Love those thick handles, very similar to the rob pack bats. Surely they add additional reliability and maybe also slightly better shock absorption.

Plenty of other things can get in the way of getting a video out. Tbh the weather has been one of the main issues, software the other . Only managed to get this out today because the bloody cat woke me up at 4 am, so i had a peaceful 3 hours of uninterrupted editing and no software issues.

Can you comment on the "core stability system"? Was this fancy marketing speak for a high spine, or could we take this to mean they had a hollow bore drilled down the length of the blade like the earlier puma millichamp "classics"? or did they stop by the stage?

I don’t know tbh. Asked the description for someone to fill that piece of the puzzle in. Hole drill sounds very plausible and I was never a historian on bats of this vintage . The centre handle insert was a little thicker.
