Hi bro! I play on pad actually on a Nintendo Switch Controller Pro! I use it for all the fighting games I play the controller it's really good. I have friends that play both with stick and hitbox and to be honest it all depends on your preference. For example, one friend plays only in stick because he used to play a lot in the old arcades and he actually feels pain when using something different, like a pad, and to me for example is the opposite! You just have to try it out to be honest, but take into account that you can for sure play fighting games, including Tekken 8, on a normal controller with a pad, it should not be a problem! Yeah sadly the game has a lot of problems related to everything you say, it seems like the Tekken community has a lot of problems to be honest hahaha
