I relate so much with you on pretty much everything I've seen so far in your life. It's almost like we're long lost sisters or something, it's crazy. Precisely the same as you when it comes to the paradox. I've always been extremely creative, but on the other side, extremely intellectual. I'm currently in school studying business and law, but want to push my KZbin to succeed so that I can spend my time creating and inspiring others. It's easily what makes me happiest! I'm the same boat right now with the labeling dilemma. One part of me is a business owner/ web designer blah blah but the other half is a dancer and dance teacher. Totally different lanes. It's like how do you label that? One way I've been able to justify both interests is that they both have an underlying goal, to inspire women. So I feel like as long as you have your underlying goal, you can be a part of as many lanes as you want to :) Sidebar: that DJ at the NYX event was playing the tunes!!! Lol

I agree and disagree with you about the personality and that we create ourselves, but the genes also play a big role, and it's hard to change some things in your personality, not about laziness tho. But this is just something to consider when talking about things like this. Love your videos btw❤

Good ol' nature nurture debate... For what I've read, scientists say it's 50%-50%. However, what I said about the video was not in particular about that, but more about our mindset. Would you rather feel bad for yourself and your 'bad' genes and do nothing or accept the fact that some things may be harder for you than for others (and some things will be easier as well!) and make the best out of your situation? I would definitely go for the latter, but it's your choice (see, even choosing that you don't think you have a choice and you are controlled by your genes is a choice).

So worked in legal spaces (legislative and private firms) for most of my 20s and I have some insight for you: the best, most brilliant lawyers I know are also creative. The ones who are photographers and writers on the side are also the ones who do the most amazing legal analysis and arguments. You have to be creative to get the Essenes of law - there is an art to it. I guess I wanted you to know that your paradox is probably just two sides of the same coin.

i feel the same way with academics and being creative. ive always been good at school and always was interested in arts and stuff. now im studying for university entance exams to study international business, but at the same time i would love nothing but to have a blog and have time to work on that and work in a creative job. luckily they can most likely be combined in the future in some way. but its weird compared to my friends who know exactly what they want etc. and theres only the one thing, where as i have the two that are pretty different.

I liked that last reflection you made. I'm a paradoxal person too but I usually say I'm a person made of extremes (I just feel like I never have tastes in "the middle zone")... Anyway that's just another way to describe it. And there's nothing wrong with liking 2 different things at once. When I left highschool, I wanted to take both nursing and engineering school and it was pretty hard to chose between those 2. That summing to my love for music and informatics (and more recently fitness and nutrition)... So many interesting stuff to study and make a career of, why not taking on more that 1 of them? Anyways, nice vlog, all the best to you! P.S: We might have a natural tendency to behave in a certain way, but I believe that we can chose to take the best of it and change the worse. I really liked your prespective of freedom of action, so many people forget that we are responsible for our own behaviour.
