The only detail I would add to your current outline of author, date, journal, premise, etc which I already think is perfect by the way is 'citation.' It's a huge help to your future self to immediately cite in the suggested format which is typically OSCOLA for law students

Eloise Harris-Hews about your essay plan. I don’t understand the basis of the structure. Do you structure according to your arguments for each essay paragraph and then fill in your reading log/ essay research log? I’m trying to use your strategy. This is the only part you did not explain in detail.

@@missfavoured I do my basic reading and start my reading log, after identifying key points I make a basic essay plan broken down by argument. After that I fill in the reading log in detail and use what I find to fill out the essay plan.
