I spent some time in court rooms as a police officer and later a defense investigator. Judges sometimes seem to favor the State but do it impartially for the most part. In this case both judges have often helped the State/DAs. Even though Judge Whitaker gets testy with Ms. Love about being disorganized she never goes beyond a huff and a puff. There have been Brady violations and the Judge says watch a video. I really feel Judge Whitaker rises to covering for and lying for the Ms. Love and Ms. Hylton. When the retired female Sgt was testifying Tuesday and Wednesday it was clear she mumbled “horrible” multiple times. Once when Mr. Shardt completed cross examination. Loud and clear. Judge Whitaker said I never heard it. She failed to ask the court reporter to read back the transcript. She knows it’s being recorded and could have gone to her chambers to review the tape but she doesn’t want to make waves and make the women look bad. I 💯 believe she is afraid of any connotation if she addresses issues. She’ll let the detective disrespect a Mr. Schart repeatedly. 💯 Ms. Love heard and LIED. Ms. Love is constantly bobbin her head, making faces, move her hands. Judge Whitaker yall giggle: me and Ms. Love are the only two who didn’t hear so I am sure the jury didn’t hear it The female detective Sargent said she lost the contents of her hard drive when the city’s computers were hacked. When the government is hacked is unfortunate, when citizen’s computer files are lost during an investigation it is a crime tampering with evidence. When I was a detective our external hard drives (thumb drives) were evidence and had to be locked away in our desk or lockers. It is the dumbest thing I have ever heard to keep a hard drive plugged in all the time, unless it’s an easy excuse for… Repeatedly since taking over if Ms. Love or Ms. Hylton get lost on a point, are unsure of how to phrase a question, unsure of the case law to cite, unsure of the point they are trying to make and where it falls under the law Judge Whitaker cuts them off in mid sentence and says “I think what she is trying to say” then states the proper information. It ends up being completely different what the DA was expressing the DAs are clued in say yes your honor. These arrests and charges go as far back as 10 yrs and they are not prepared for trial. Almost every day Ms. Love is admonished for something she has done then pretends with some excuse and Judge Whitaker lets it go. This week Judge Whitaker accepted some excuses, but finally said to Ms. Love you keep hiding the ball. This case is so sloppy for a RICO case. You seriously need a professional organizer for the files. Judge Whitaker is about the fourth or fifth smartest attorney in the room.

I truly believe it's for personal reasons why Whitaker is allowing this trial to continue. Nor sure if it's for her to get to the next level or for her to write a book or interviews, but she's showing her bias by allowing this trial to continue.

You’ve covered a lot of issues arising through the trial and I agree with them all. I really don’t think this will be the last time you are forced to listen to the litany of missteps she makes in this trial. So much of what Whitaker said would happen when she took over, like a weekly witness list with evidence to be used should be given to defence, just never happened. That’s clearly not happening. I couldn’t help but wonder if the booklet with all the highlighted pages she was going to email the defence attorneys again was even sent in the first place. When one of the attorneys asked for the evidence number, Whitaker advertently or inadvertently avoided That by saying if she sends it again, they won’t have to look for it by the number. Will this be another Brady incident or will it have a number? I don’t know, after all the misconduct, it’s possible she hasn’t given it to the defence during discovery. It might be another PowerPoint nobody has seen or had a chance to scrutinise.

It's going to take a whole day just to give jury instructions when they get to that part, if they ever get to that. I would say with all of the 'extra' instructions, just call a mistrial. The jurors arent lawyers and it seems with as many instructions as they have now, itd take a lawyer to understand. If i was a juror, none of this at this point would even matter. "Not guilty" would be my own verdict. We wouldn't need time to decide

The fact that love sat there and blatantly lied about not hearing gaither say “this dude horrible” is crazy! And since this was in fact recorded on live tv, they need to play it back for the sole reason of her being exposed for lying and reprimanded!

This is a true miscarriage of justice. Though several have taken pleas it wasn't because of fear of losing but being locked away in filth away from family one in confinement "the absolute worst way to serve time". If this is justice our country doesnt stand with citizens or the constitution.
