@@dmf1301 I'm not saying he's a hero, but many married people would lie or deny having an affair, his guilt got to him and they were one agreeable terms for their children's sake but I think they lived separately after that and kept contact till his wife's sickness turned to the worst and he felt he had to fulfill his duties as husband and father to be there for his family and what would happen after his wife dies. So he's not a saint but he tried to make peace with his wife, not many people would do that without wanting something in return (money, the house, custodians of the children) like most people do, but not detective Curtis because he know he had hurt his wife by cheating and tried to redeem himself even if he know they had to be separated for it.

And unlike everyone else who knew Dad, she just happened to be right there, with no reason, felt the need lie about it, and also coincidentally had a hate boner for the doc. It seems bad, I mean, if the murder weapon vanished from her neighbor, or if she had lived her entire life in Chepachet RI and it went missing in Chepachet while she was there, I think that would be a damning coincidence, with the rest.

so they illegally seized material they had no right to and performed unauthorized tests on it that are rendered inadmissable and this is treated as merely a minor hickup, not a violation of civil rights and due process not to mention screwing up the case that the cops should be at minimum reprimanded for - the moral is the law and rights get in the way of the cops doing their job
