The second one was entirely disgusting. A dying billionaire basically paying off doctors to inseminated comatose women to get stem cells from the fetuses. These women, comatose or not, are PEOPLE!!!!! NOT INCUBATORS!!! And then the old bat has the gall to say “their precious daughter left this earth a year ago” AND take the baby! He inseminated these comatose patients using shady and highly illegal tactics in order to research a cure for his illness, because he was powerful enough. There is no way a natural human being would go past the first two words, and rationalize those actions. It’s a complete stop. “Do not pass go Do not collect $200” scenario you understand? To rationalize the scenario as “Human nature” instead of “evil” is, I feel, such a misguided outlook because human nature can be evil. These words are more synonymous than you expect and I think you understand that too since you called what he did disgusting. This is also the same sentiment that was used in the defense of finding the way to immortality. The shady and dangerous methods didn’t matter a lot since it was “human nature” to live

He can just as easily offer to pay as most new parents don’t have it extracted and stored because of cost, on condition that he’s allowed to take a viable portion. Make it an open offer to all new parents in local hospitals, he could easily afford it and it would be legal. Although I have no idea if chord blood storage was an option for new parents 20 years ago when this aired.

Even if it wasn't stored, the moment could've delivered at this hospital, the blood could've been extracted, and then he could've had the stem cells implanted soon after completely eliminating the need to store it. I understand this is a TV show but the custody battle aspect of this episode just doesn't make sense 🫠

There was an episode where a little girl fell a bench and i believe she died immediately or was comatose then died. Anyway the doctor took her heart out without her parents consent and she wasn’t an organ donor. The one was crazy.

What good imaginations when coming up with another "Law & Order" episode. Real life is far more unbelievable than that sometimes for us women and the odd time for us slender young men too when living off the res too. Used t o be far worse during the last century around all of the cameras though. The cameras which for some reason has done so little to help prevent forest fires, houses being burned down, cabin fires, church buildings being burned down, and last but not least a whole lot of gender based violence too around all of the 'proper' use of birth control methods being offered for free by the planned parenthood people to single women too which all the cameras for some reason cannot help prevent too. Sometimes starting when they are only in junior highschool or only 8 years old. I feel sorry for any women like that.
