WE HAVE A BABY! This is our most LOVE & HUG filled vlog yet, as we take you with us from New York City to the Music City! We become INSTANT PARENTS taking on the adorable challenge of parenting our 9 month old niece, Kenna Joy Bates! Kenna’s parents, Nathan and Esther, are off to the Philippines, and we get to spend nearly TWO WEEKS filled with cuddles, sour lemons, and poopy diapers, 100 degree heat waves, AC failures, and dramatic assassins!
We also get some special visitors as Auntie Callie Bates and Granny a.k.a. Mama B (Kelly Jo Bates).

Kenna giving her Unca Law a kiss was precious. Lawson, you can tell you have a lot of experience with little ones. Tiffany, ten days is long enough to get a feel for having your own except for the fact that you know with nieces it has an ending point. Thankfully, you guys have great families that would help out if you needed a mom's day out.

What works for us indoors (we live on a homestead so we know FLIES) is to buy Raid fly ribbons and attach them to the ceiling. It will amaze you how many you will find in a day or two that are on those sticky ribbons. This and an old fashioned fly swatter works GREAT! Also, I'm so sorry you had to deal with the heat that way. It was terrible as well here in Missouri. We had a feels like of 112-115 every single day for 7 days. I was asking God to breathe on us so we could get some relief. I'm thankful, though, that all our animals survived. Glad also that you had a good time with baby Kenna. She is absolutely precious. 👍 Really, really enjoyed this one.. the way you went after those flies cracked me up! Also, bravo, for the way you weathered, pun intended, the heat.. a couple things that helped me when I was in similar situations, with no air conditioning, was to wear wet tee shirts.. with fan blowing on you, it helps a lot. And periodically pouring water over my head to drench both myself and redrench the T-shirt.. spraying yourself from a spray water bottle, also tends to help! I think you guys are going to be awesome parents!
