This reminds me of the book Winter’s Bone about Appalachian families and how deep loyalty to bloodlines run. In the book one family planned and covered up a murder that the whole community knew they committed but everyone was scared to speak up. Jennifer Lawrence was nominated for the film adaptation

Sympathies for all the victims, families and friends.. I can't stress enough how vigilant people need to be when it comes down to dealing with family issues / violence. "Drug deals gone wrong" don't even come close to domestic issues... No where in the same category! There is a reason that law enforcement is most worried about dealing with domestic violence... I'm not a cop, but I can tell you first hand trying to get between (play hero) between a man beating the crap out of his wife and getting a .357 magnum cocked to my head.. It is a powder keg like few others... Sad these people were not on guard with a shotgun, just in case...
