Jackson is a heck of an attorney. The amount of work and hours he put into this trial are phenomenal! I don't always like his attitude but I admire the man's tenacity. And he controlled his anger and frustration much better than most people could. For a person whose life is on the line, Karen Read held her composure remarkable well. Throughout all the trial so far, her face has pretty much remained expressionless.

After a long day and night, this guy, Higgins, goes into the police station on his day off and claims that he didn’t talk to anyone about the case. Are you kidding me?!!! That was his sole purpose for being there. What else was he there for? He wasn’t working. He had a very long day and a night of many drinks. This case is baffling. I originally thought Karen to be guilty. But lie after lie on the witness stand by almost every witness has changed my mind. Higgins is clearly lying here. And if it turns out the surveillance tape of the sally port has indeed gone missing, I will then have reasonable doubt. I’m not saying Karen didn’t do it, but dozens of lies so far is just too much for me or a juror to say “yes, let’s send this person to prison for decades.”

@ 07:00 as far as i remember when Read drove off from John’s house at 5:08 am (near that time) her tail light was clearly illuminating and was clearly red as she pushed the breakes before turning left to look for John. And at 8:23 in the same morning when the police officers came to do the welfare check, the biggest chunk of red plastic was already absolutely missing - so it happened before Read’s Lexus was taken to custody.

The judge couldn’t seem any more uninterested in this case if her life depended on it. She sustains everything but the jury heard what Jackson needed them too. EDIT: For those who are saying the jury will not like Jackson, you couldn't be any more wrong. Juan Martinez who put Jodi Arias behind bars had a way more aggressive approach than Jackson and when the trial was over the jury said in interviews they all loved J.Martinez style of prosecution. Their kind of style have an impact on the jury unlike Lally's.

If Karen struck John while backing up and he was walking away, wouldn’t he have landed face down more toward the mailbox? It seems that if he was struck, it could have been by someone pulling up to the house and hit him while he was walking toward the driveway facing forward. This would cause him to land on his back toward the flagpole. But, we’ll never know because the investigation was botched from the start. Measuring where he landed, taking pictures of how his body was lying, would’ve been helpful.

I'm a little late to this case and not knowing much about this case I will admit I went into assuming Karen Read was guilty. I am ashamed to admit there was something about the look of her I did not like. I am absolutely shocked what I have seen here. So many of these witnesses are so sketchy, remembering everything perfect for the prosecution and absolute amnesia for the defense. I've always backed the blue but this circus is really concerning.

Yep, he is obviously the best 3rd party culprit up and to this point. His motive is greater than Karen’s. Karen had the ability to just up and leave John, she didn’t need a divorce or his money. Higgins, on the other hand, felt that Karen had blue-balled him, leading him on for weeks, then ghosted him. Any reasonable person would be quite upset about this, especially if you were very attracted to the person (the case here) that led you on and then just refused to talk anymore or even give you a reason on why you were being ghosted. Upset enough to cause murder? I don’t know. But there is at least a shred of motive for a juror to consider. With Read, the jury has to believe that she murdered John for a reason. What is that reason? There is none.

If the sally port video is indeed missing, she will not be convicted. It’s hard to believe they can’t produce the video! After listening to Higgins, I don’t see how anyone wouldn’t have reasonable doubt.
