Credit to her neighbors for trying to do the right thing. Most people these days turn a blind eye to things like this. Having been through domestic violence in a relationship it’s so clear to see what things are from the outside, but living through it is different, you truly can’t understand until you’ve been in it. Everyone did everything they could in this situation to prevent this, and I hope they find peace in that. There was nothing more they could have done.

The officer let them go with a warning. About 20 minutes later, he reports to a car accident and it was the same car with both teens deceased. You didn't watch the video nor understand why police officers separate suspects. Towards the end of the video it's stated that the couple are telling conflicted stories. And typically when that happens that means someone or all parties are lying. So the entire situation is still very questionable. The cops were right to put the pressure on them by being assertive; the girl was covering for the abuser and the abuser is being sneaky trying to appear normal when in reality he is guilty of displaying violent behavior. It doesn't help that he has a reported history of attempting to kill his own father. With abusers you have to be direct with them and put that pressure on them. Sometimes getting them mad or even firing questions at them nonstop will get them to finally slip up revealing what they are capable of or what they have done.
