Brazil doesn't accept a 2nd citizenship by marriage. Our law says that if you ask for another citizenship you are then relinquishing your brazilian one. But not everybody knows that and i believe it was the first time brazilian authorities used it to strip somebody of his/her citizenship. You can only have dual citizenship (being a native brazilian) by blood line, f.e. if you get a 2nd citizenship because one of your parents are foreign.

@glamdolly303 жыл бұрын
What was the motive for the murder? Doesn't seem like she made any money from it, in fact she surely lost out by having to return to her old life in Brazil. Her marriage to him got her US citizenship, I'm amazed she didn't just divorce him, get a nice settlement and get to stay in the States. If she'd had a life insurance policy to cash in I could understand it but she doesn't appear to have benefited at all from killing him. Weird.
@sflo45383 жыл бұрын
Psychologist seems to think she has borderline personality disorder which makes a person fear abandonment to the extreme, so him wanting to leave her was likely a big factor. The friend said she said she would kill him if he left her. 🤯

@Eric H if every wife he has was crazy then we need to look at him more as well. Everyone you marry can’t be crazy, eventually you have to look at yourself as well. Instead he said, "Go down to the basement so you don't get any blood on my pictures and paintings." WOW! I bet that made her so mad, she shot him. That could have happened. But some things that happened also sound hard to believe - such as how she practiced shooting with a gun before she intended to shoot herself. Why would she wait until this moment before deciding to kill herself? I suppose if you believe her side, perhaps it was because she wanted to emphasise to Karl what he had driven her to. But then when she realised he cared more about the paintings getting bloodied rather than what happened to her, she snapped and decided to kill him instead.
