Magna carta isn't the law of the land it is a historical document from which we derived some laws. The people who like to quote it remind me of the saddos in America quoting a 200 year out of date constitution that counts black people as a fraction of a person and declares that anyone should have a machine gun and freedom of expression is standing at a polling station with a machine gun and body armour hairy-eyeballing everyone who might not vote fascist...Hows that stuff working out these days U.S? I have confirmation from a council employee in the south who isn't paying council tax that the councils are panicking because they do not have enough bailiffs due to large numbers of people withholding payment of council tax. Even if they get their fake liability orders, they don't have enough enforcement. This is in just one city. So they are probably all very desperate.

The trouble is, there are police out there who don't know the law ... therefore they should not be sent to such cases. The laminated document you held up for the camera is an information leaflet outlining what can happen as a result of a convicted criminal not paying outstanding fines. This has nothing to do with civil debt (which parking charge notices are a part of). Very clever people, and very knowledgeable about the law. It is worrying with debts that people can’t pay. But ultimately one has to wonder is it worth the hassle of having these people at your door day in day out. As passionate as the two gentleman with the cameras are it’s clearly a stressful situation, which I am sure none of us envy. I still believe it’s better to pay your debts when you can. And if you can’t pay it, then let them take what they want. If you don’t have it to give they can’t take it. I hope no one finds themselves in a situation of not been able to pay there bills, however we live in a world where you do have to pay for what you owe. And unfortunately for the small people like us there’s really nothing we can do. The system is designed to keep people down so others can stay up. If your watching this thinking you can quote the law to anyone chasing debt from you and get away with not paying it. My advice would be to leave it, as it will cause many sleepless nights, stress and you will come out worse in the end.

People should set up their own private companies and play them at their own game to fine "them" (the bailiffs) for their misconduct and crimes. Fight a corporation with another corporation, rather than face them individually. Also, the police ARE NOT ALLOWED TO SAY "we believe he is here legally". Beliefs ARE NOT THE LAW. A Belief is nothing !!!!! You can only act lawfully with evidence and correct implementation of the law. Police can not facilitate or assist a private corporation or an individual, they can only ensure the peace is kept. The United Kingdom seems to be what it is: A KINGDOM, and not a democracy or republic. It seems that the UK is the same as Saudi Arabia (a backwards dictatorship Kingdom).

i find it strange that the final bit was not recorded. How do we know the red car was not taken? how do we know the police and bailiff left after a fruitless seizure. Strange goings on. Shouldve showed the end bit.

Don't cower behind your door, open it and give them your dreaded fee schedule. At least your honest, drag it out. Why not just pay your dues you grub.

Maybe it's because I'm in South Texas, but the whole concept of a Bailiff has always seemed like a bad system if not governmental theft. Combined with the lost of credit (in certain circumstances), or property in ones home in compensation for legal fines, and fee's just feels like theft via the government. I mean if I get a speeding ticket, and don't pay it, I go to jail, and or lose my drivers license. The same goes for if I get a parking ticket. Unless my car is towed by the police (or parking enforcement) I'm free to drive it home. Even then I have a chance to get it back at the impound lot. But I'm sure there is a lot that goes into how they go about it.
