My brother has a newer LB 4-stroke. It's maybe 5 years old, 1/4 acre per week. It's already on it's last legs. About to lose a bearing it sounds like. Good thing he can use my 10401 anytime he wants. It's a shame a top notch symbol of American quality and ingenuity has been reduced to slapping their name and paint on a cookie cutter CPS (Chinese piece of shit). It's a same with all of the old reputable brands. Westinghouse, GE, etc. Nothing but a bunch of garbage.

Quite a great collection ! I'm 64 and I have never mowed with anything but a 2 cycle Lawn Boy. Right now I'm using a '79 #5247 and I just won't give it up ! It never gives up !

Nice! Back in the day I put my Dad's commercial Lawn-Boy and a gas trimmer in the trunk of my car . . . did 22 lawns/week with it (plus his). Old Lawn Boys - Best mowers ever!

Bought a Canadian 5247 a few weeks go in pretty good shape. Did a great job cutting my Urban lawn. My neighbours are going to go full Greta. "How dare you"!!

Had the ‘79 with 19” aluminum deck from my dad. Then bought a SilverPro Duraforce in 2003 and used it for 21 years. Just replaced it with an EGO. 👍🏻✌🏻

Thanks for the great video. I got my first Lawn Boy in 1967. I would push it to my jobs and push it back home, made for a long day for a kid! Loved my Lawn Boy! Thanks for some good memory‘s!

Great collection. I love the Lawn Boy mowers too. I have a 1997 Silver Series that I use for my lawn. Runs great. Big fan of the chrome handle too. No annoying kill handle/bar. I wish I still had the old 2 stroke that was from the lates 60s or early 70s (color was tan) that I used growing up. Lawn Boys are a blast from the past. They were the only mowers we ever had in my household now and growing up. I like that you use your collection too to get the job done.

I got a ton of lawnboys and my 7262 is my most prized mower. Just picked up a mint 5253 from a old guy and it runs so nice You got a great collection man

I recently resurrected a 1979 model 7086 21” “JC Penny” LawnBoy that had sat in a barn for nearly 20 years. My first LawnBoy I’ve ever owned and I have no plans of getting rid of it.

Nice collection! Only have 2 lol. Used to have a total of 4 lawnboys but I threw away the 4 stroke models cause the transmissions in one of them were bad and so as the decks lol. My 2 current lawnboys are the 2003 10323, and the 2004 10550 duraforce “The show mower” 😉👍

If you find a generic silver series deck and an engine from a toro mower, you should be able to bolt it right up

I am glad you posted this video. I have the same problem with the switch that you talked, about can't figure how to wire it up? I tested the switch and it does turn on & off, but I can't get to work when hooked up. There is a poll on the coil to connect the wire and I assume the other wire is ground? can you help? It's the same model you have, in fact I have the same t one you show , model R7268.

Nice. Lawn-boys are a unique brand of lawn mowers. I here that there's a "Yellow" version of Lawn-boy called Sabre Edge. I've seen photos on the images of Sabre Edge.

That’s pretty much a knock off version of a lawn boy. They just have a different engine and that’s the only difference.

@@j.tslawnmaintenance31 True. The decks are almost the same. Lawn-boy : Green, Toro : Red, and Sabre Edge : Yellow. Btw did/does Lawn-boy make leaf blowers? I know that Lawn-boy made a gas trimmer the 1400.

I have a 1992 lawn boy and it's been running for 30 years and it will not die. It does need new rings a new cylinder a new crank bearings but it still runs smooth I don't know how

I just stumbled across the Lawn Boy mowers! Man oh man do they look nice! I am looking to get one because everyone says they are the best! Is there a specific made/model/year I should be looking for? I know they are old so I want to make sure I get the best one possible! Especially if I have to get it shipped many sellers say no returns! So I do not want to get screwed! Any help is much appreciated!
