Good stuff Paul! Loved the way you set up the drill press to precisely drill the dots on each side and batch them out.

Ron, thanks for tuning in. I appreciate your comment. The template worked out really well but I wish when I did my filming that I had realized that the handle to the drill press was in the way....LOL. Thanks again.

I was just telling my wife I want to make some of these. She loves Yahtzee.
@paulsmessyworkshop4 жыл бұрын
MrDoeboy356, no time like the present. The most time consuming part of the build was the resin but it sure came out great. I appreciate your comment and taking the time to watch.

Nice build Paul. I love the way they turned out and it was great to see you pouring some resin into those recesses. I was checking as you drilled your holes to make sure that opposite sides added up to 7 and sure enough, you did it correctly. LOL. I may have to try this project myself one day. Great work.
@paulsmessyworkshop4 жыл бұрын
Kenny, believe me I did my research before drilling any holes...LOL. As you well know it can be tricky getting that resin to stop coming out of the cup when you want it to so it is very easy to be sloppy. Thanks so much for watching, I value your opinion. Looking forward to seeing your version of the dice project.

That jigs a great idea, can see a few projects that could use it. Dice turned out beautiful. Thought someone hijacked your channel when I saw the broom lol. Take care Paul.

They turned out great. I would have thought you might paint the dots, but the epoxy was a way better idea.
@paulsmessyworkshop4 жыл бұрын
Tom, I thought about painting the dots and that most certainly would have been faster. The resin did ad a nice touch even though it took lots of time. Thanks for watching and the nice comment.

Great job Paul, the dice look great. Yeah the only draw back about using epoxy is the wait time. Maybe next you could look at using a fast setting epoxy
@paulsmessyworkshop4 жыл бұрын
Native Son, good idea about using a fast setting epoxy, I will look into that. I appreciate your taking the time to watch and comment. Yep, this was a really fun project.

I like. you made them a little smaller than ones you by i think?
@paulsmessyworkshop4 жыл бұрын
JJE, Thanks. I'm not sure the size of the ones you buy. I mostly wanted to make sure I had good wood to work with. Usually the outside of a 4x4 isn't that great. Milling it down to 3 inches seemed like a nice size. Thanks for taking the time to watch.
@michaelmarchione34084 жыл бұрын
I would end up spilling the resin all over.
