I was looking for small butterfly dies. Thanks for sharing.

Just when I thought I had more than my fair share of unique butterfly stamps and dies you make this gorgeous card! I love that background more than words can express (which means I must do it stat!) and the vellum, black glitter and Nuvo drop touches --just beautiful. I also love the challenge of rescuing a card that didn't quite turn out as expected. I call it "card rehab"! Thank you for sharing your card and artistic talents!

I really enjoyed your video Nichol. Love, love the butterflies and the colours turned out perfectly. A "must have" butterfly set. TFS

Thank you Nichol for demonstrating to us crafters what to do when 'smooshing' certain coloured inks that do not want to play together well need to be changed. I love the fact that you do not edit these parts out of your video tutorials because we crafters need to know that even experienced crafters have problems sometimes and that things can be corrected and do not have to be thrown away. I love the new Lawn Fawn butterfly pop up dies they really make a punch on the front of a card. :O)

Great card, Nichol! I agree, the white behind the panel is a good choice. Like you said, the front of the panel is so "busy" with all the ink colors, that you need a bit of a resting place in the design. Tfs! :)

Beautiful card! I totally agree, the white backing is the best, otherwise the butterflies would get lost in all the color! You are so talented.

with Kraft would have been cute as well Or with black paper behind, cause the sentiment is black already..You brought me on an idea..

Way to save the card! It turned out very nice at the end but after that first smoosh I wasn’t sure... even though I had already seen the final card pic.

I’m not really fond of smooshing, I’ve never tried it, but drying colours between changing colours ( oxide would be my choice ) I really want to thank you for showing how to bring back a colour mix that you weren’t happy with. X Ros

Omg. Yesterday I had a really simple wedding card concept that I liked, aside from a couple minor issues. Thought I’d “fix” those issues, and ended up with a 4 hour project that was a hot mess... lol! I still might be able to salvage it. Yours ended up super cute, regardless of initial concerns you may have had. As Bob Ross used to say: “no mistakes, just happy accidents”. 😁😁

Beautiful card! I will have to try harder to find a way to fix some of my boo-boos instead of throwing it away & starting over :) . I think the only other paper color that might have worked for the background would have been black...and maybe the black glitter cardstock? Just a thought. Thanks for another great video!

Beautiful card!!! Quick tip: red, blue and yellow together alway gives brown, so if you know with colors form the color you want to use, for instans orange (red and yellow) and purple(red and blue, you know they wont play nice together, because youve got red, yellow and blue in the mix. But orange and purple will lookfabulous opposite of each other because they are complementary, they are opposite on the color wheel.
@alexserra96056 жыл бұрын
You know if you were to dry your paper in between colors you would have a better result like when you went into the orange by itself right next to the blue and green you're definitely going to get brown and then you went in with the purple.. so if I were you in order to avoid mud in watercolor you definitely want your layers underneath to be completely dry first.
