Learned more in three of your videos than an entire year with the "Bermuda Lawn Dominators" in facebook. Some of their advice is worse than a chemistry lesson!!!! not to mention the cost of their choice in equipment!!!! $200-300 for a spreader!!! 4-5 K for a "reel mower" Geez!!! thanks man

Appreciate that. Glad the videos help. Haha, those Facebook groups are a great place to go to hear from a bunch of know-it-alls that don't know much at all. It's where you go to start hating lawn care lol. I had to get outta there long ago. They make bermuda lawn care waaaaay harder than it needs to be. It's really simple actually. It's just a function of knowing the basics and deciding how much time you're willing to put into them to meet your expectations. Thanks so much for watching and commenting.

Great content Travis. I tried to get by with just 2 lb/1000 sq ft per year (Texas A & M Extension service recommendation), but was not happy with the turf color and quality. So I increased it to 4 lb/1000 sq ft per year and am very happy with the appearance. I have Tiffany 419 Bermuda grass.

Thanks bro. I’ll get back out in the garage sometime this summer. I wish those style videos would be appealing to more people. These have been a positive format for channel growth this spring. I’ve become more and more amazed at how many people dislike organic chit chat in lawn care. It’s either to the point info for most folks or they whine and complain. Thx for all the research you do sure does take the guessing to a minimum, just a heads up on sta- green MAX there are gummy clumps that are rock hard that range from 1/4”-2” that will need sifting when poured into the hopper or you won’t get the correct spreading ratio. Many review complaints with same issue took me nearly double the time to fertilize my lawn very frustrating. 😡

In one of your videos, about three years ago, you mentioned that it’s okay to apply weed killer AND an organic fertilizer the same day. Which should I apply first? Will be using Spectracide (orange top) that connects to water hose (blanket spray) AND Milo.
@BudgetLawns

I’ve changed things a bit over the years. I don’t use biosolid fertilizer anymore. But if you are going this route, apply the Milo first then blanket spray. Thanks for watching.

I pregerminated rye for my front yard & used milo as carrier. So I pretty much put 20 lbs of that there. Natural slow release. So that's about 1.2 lbs on N. Feel it should be until early July. Put down all 14 lbs of the 8-0-2 sta green natural fert on my backyard. So that's about 1.1 lbs of N. That should be good til mid July. After that gonna spray N on both through summer.

@@careybenefiel1206 it’s getting close to seeding time if you’re doing it in the fall. I’d get all the leaves up. These are likely just heat falling leaves, not because of fall approaching.

What if I was to stick to the 10-10-10 that you use to always use? If I was to use enough of the triple 10 to hit 1 pound of N per 1,000SqFt. would I be over doing it with the P&K aspects? Cause I’d have to use twice the weight of a 10-10-10 bag to have the same nitrogen level as 20-0-0 bag. Thoughts? Thanks!

First time lawn care-er in Bentonville, AR with a question. I just got my first law, and since I missed the pre-emergent season, I have high density weeds(broadleaf and grasslike) throughout most of the lawn. I've seen you mention that liquid post emergent works best, and I am looking at treating the whole lawn, but am worried about perennials since I dont have pre-emergent down. My question is, would I be better off wetting the lawn and just using a granular weed and feed or pre/post-emergent, or would I be better off treating the whole lawn with liquid post-emergent only? Or is it an option to lay the granular pre-emergent down DRY, water it in, then treat again with liquid post-emergent? Not sure the best way to proceed at this point in the year. I did make sure I have bermuda, but am unsure how much turf exists under/around the weed-dense areas. Also not sure if I should fertilize before or after weeds are treated... Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I have a super important question!!!!! I am killing poison ivy that is on cut up tree wood that we need to burn that have been just sitting outside. Since we will burn the wood in our fire pit, I am going to kill the poison with 30%vinegar so I am not burning dried up round up on the wood. My question is, when I get the time in the fall to reseed, can I use 30%vinegar to kill off my grass and weed salad bar of a backyard, then scarify/mow up the dead stuff and reseed? Or will the vinegar left in the soil prevent germination? I was thinking spray, wait a week, respray, wait another week, then mow/scarify/spread new dirt and seed, just wanted your thoughts on using something more natural to still kill everything off? Thank you!!!
