This was absolutely my mower's problem. Though I have a different model B&S motor (everything located in a different place), I was able to find that fuel bulb. I clamped the line, dropped the bolt, then used a needle to clean it out. Put everything back in and started on second pull. Thanks a ton!

I know this video is pretty old but I got the same mower from my parents who weren't using it and it wasn't staying running so I put new spark plug and filter in it and still wouldn't stay running so I found your video and took the bowl off and cleaned out the holes in bolt and sprayed out the bowl and other area and boom I mowed my whole lawn! Thank you!

Your video helped me so... much. Thank you! My girlfriends moms machine would not start. So I took the fuel filter off and I took the carb bowl off. The hole from top to the bottom seemed to be blocked a bit as you state. There was also a little bit of dirt on the float. I wiped it off with a clean rag. I put everything back together and on the first pull it started. Thank you very much.

Same exact mower, I drained the fuel in the winters and ran new fuel through it every spring, 3rd year I believe and I tried everything (I thought)... Messed with it for probably 4 hours and replaced/cleaned everything else lol I moved recently and rediscovered I had this one, saw this and fired right up. I wasn't sure what it was because a spring broke and there was a piece of plastic that was broken, was at some point looked attached to something, never found out what, but apparently it wasn't too important smh! Much appreciated!

Thank you very much. I was able to empty the bowl and clean the holes in the bolt and put everything back together in 30 minutes. After this repair, it fired up after half a pull, thanks again!

Thank you so much. Mine was not starting. First time I took it apart I did not even see the top hole in the bolt. Sure enough, clean the top hole out with a sewing needle and it roared back to life with first pull. If the crb does not get any gasoline, it is never going to start

i have the 725ex, will start on first use, but I don't dare shut it off cuz it will not start again unless i remove the air filter. Then it will start on first pull. while it is running i can reinstall the filter and it will continue to run but again I cannot let it shut down. Replaced air filter 5 times, but no go, took it to an authorized bs repair shop, he had it for 2 months and could not figure it out. He replaced the choke system but no go. i fought with bs that they sold a lemon, so nancy from bs said take it to another shop of her choice and if they said it was briggs fault they would repair it or replace it, but if they said it was my fault then to bad. so i took it there and they said i did not take care of it, they said the air filter was dirty which it was not it was brand new, they said oil needed changed which it did not I change it every summer and they said the blade was knicked which is possible but not a starting problem. So they saved their authorization with BS and lied and then went home and brushed his tooth. But that leaves me with a piece of crap mower. Now I am think compression problem but it runs fine when it is cold engine. Any thoughts anyone? please help driving me insane, i have cleaned the carb so not the problem. oh, sometimes gas seems to be blowing back into air filter but not always. Slightly used brute mower, 100 dollars and it is yours, that's i will pay for someone to haul away, kidding, but it is a crap design, i did nothing to this mower, Nancy at BS is a beatch.
@Budro47646 жыл бұрын
Don I know this an old post, But I think BS screwed you by not giving you a new engine while under warranty.... I was a Briggs rep years ago.......... I have had a few like yours in my shop a few times. One was defected carb and anther one was out of warranty by almost a year..... Carbon build up in the valves......... Gas was passing back into the carb like you were saying.... Gas almost always leaks out out the carb on those engines, but only a few drops when it's shut off..... If you still here and see this Let Me know Mon Ami ~!~!~!
