Hey Johnny, can you please talk to us about how you explain to new customers that you don’t collect grass clippings? I’m finding I dig myself into a hole when I try and say I mulch the clippings and they think I’m going to leave piles of clippings everywhere. Also do you have mulching blades on your stand on mowers or regular? I’m struggling to win customers as I want to avoid collecting clippings. A lot of customers don’t understand or are too fussy. I’m currently push mowing with a mulch plug and I also have a prostance 32 with regular blades and a catcher. Would love to hear your advice. Thanks mate.

I've never encountered this situation. In my area no one bags, Everyone that I've seen side discharge or mulches. we mulch and sometimes double-cut but no one has ever asked me to bag in 14 years, I also use mulching blades.
@dazza766 ай бұрын
@@Bladesofgrasslawncare ok interesting , thanks. The weekly mowing customers would also help. All mine are fortnightly through summer and you can never keep the lawn down. Winter everyone wants 3-4week intervals. I’ve never come across weekly customers, that would definitely make life easier. Thanks for the feedback. I’m in Australia.🇦🇺

Great job sir, I have a quick question: do you charge to get the excess grass that grows behind fence post on the initial mow or is that added in the lawn maintenance fee? Thank you

Hi Johnny I am 16 and started my own mowing business in Australia, I currently have 6 properties I do and I have a question regarding when I get to the job, should I knock on the door and say I’m there or just get started without saying anything. And same for when I’m finished with the job, should I just leave and not say anything? I’ve been watching and learning alot from you, thank you Johnny.
@Bladesofgrasslawncare6 ай бұрын
I would definitely let the homeowner know that I'm there and when I'm finished for the first couple of months until they can get use to the schedule. I'm assuming that they are on a schedule, and after a while just let them know via text at the beginning of the week the day that you will be there. Remember to always walk the property first and do not service a property if their pets are out even if they are friendly. things fly and they can get hurt

Hi Johnny i got a question i got a gardener who lacks cutting my yard and really isn't doing it properly are there any advice or tips I'm wasting my money on paying someone who doesn't know anything about lawn care I'm trying to find someone else who knows how to do lawn care the right way and doesn't rush or mess up I've had numerous Gardners do this to me before I'm not happy at all i can't find a Gardner who is willing to do the job the right way and does it without rushing
@Bladesofgrasslawncare6 ай бұрын
I would talk to my friends and ask for recommendation or if your driving around pay attention to lawn companies work and if you see one that you like stop and talk to them. One thing is communication, are you conveying your request to your gardener and are you choosing the cheapest service out there, remember that you get what you pay for. I'm asking because you stated that you had numerous gardeners and that's a red flag in my view. I will tell you by experience that when I hear a new customer state what you're asking me the first thing that come to mind is high expectation and low pay for services provided.
