It’s easier if you just open up the side discharge shoot and measure the blade from that point

@@drewreylea1 actually I could have just used a measuring tape but I was trying to show the tool, which works great as long as your not trying to measure that low. The side shoot is not always easy, this tool works perfectly at normal heights. But a measuring tape to the bottom of the deck will get you close, but I like exact. Thanks for your comment because that is an option just one I personally choose not to use since I don’t find it that easy to hold open the shoot, try and get a measuring tape under there, oh and did I mention not all mowers have a side shoot, like the mower I was using does not have a side shoot that easily opens, in fact it doesn’t open.
