Hi Arthur, if you mean underneath on the grass chute, I think I riveted a thin plate to cover those holes. It was a while back and it's gone to a new home.

Great video. I have the same mower and need to replace the brake pads but cannot find anywhere that sells them. Can I ask where you got the pads from? Thanks

They are called brake pucks. I bought them on ebay from a UK user alantmsmower. Just checked history.. user no longer on ebay :( Try a search for MTD brake pucks. Possbly only available from a US site/user? Hope this helps.
