When is the best time to spray these products? I’ve been told most liquid applications should be done early in the morning but I’ve noticed your doing yours during the day? Does it really matter when it is sprayed?
@LawnTips7 жыл бұрын
Hey mate. You generally just apply when the weather is cooler. So it’s was only 20 degrees yesterday in Orange. Which was pretty cold haha. Had a night temp of 7!! I generally apply afternoons though 👍🏽

Awesome video man! I've seriously been looking for someone to break down how products such as these work, and compare to one another. Thanks for the fantastic content! 😁

Thanks mate! I see a lot of the guys in America getting on similar stuff because of the lawn care nut. It looks pretty good!
@lawncaredad18836 жыл бұрын
Lawn Tips exactly! He has been pushing the NEXT products, and i trust him for sure! But I'm just not comfortable enough with those products to go all "Nutty" just yet. After that vid I may just have the balls to jump into the deal end. 😜

Haha!! Yeah I reckon give it a go. Always good to incorporate soil amendments to your lawn program. You’ll be surprised how much of a difference it makes. Especially in the long run

Looks like your lawn reno has started by the look of your lawn. I cant wait to watch the perennial rye grass reno project. I told my neighbor about it...he wants to do the same to replace his sir Walter.
@LawnTips7 жыл бұрын
Sure has! Will be a fun project for sure. A bit of work, but will be worth it. What’s he wanting to replace the buff with?
@haydlew7 жыл бұрын
perennial ryegrass. He is sick if that horrible stalkey thatchey sponge sir walter like I had before I redid my front lawn.

Yeah fair enough, it’s such a thatchy Lawn isn’t it. I’m not a huge fan of it myself. Where about do you live? Just wondering cause it may struggle through the summer.

Alright. So a bit warmer than here in orange. Similar though. It would work but he’ll need to water up to it in summer! Takes a lot more water than buffalo or couch

This year, I decided to go organic after de-thatching my lawn. I just use Milorganite, which is actually a by-product of sewage here in the US. It comes in pellet-form and you just spread it everywhere. Fortunately, it does not burn the grass like regular fertilizer. The number of worm casts and probing birds this year is quite amazing!
@LawnTips6 жыл бұрын
Awesome! Shows how much your soil has really improved already by the sound of it! Organic is the way to go in my opinion. I’ve heard a lot of great things about milorginite. Even read about it in a few turfgrass science books. Good to hear it’s working for you!

Mate been looking into getting some stimulizer and seaweed secrets from the plant doctor they look like a really good product just wanting to know if you get better results by applying the both of them together with the knapsack or the hortex sprayer and are you applying all year round
@noeyedeer58136 жыл бұрын
Hey mate, so you mixed together the 3mil with the 100mil in the vortex sprayer?

Good info mate! Similar to a lot of what I've been watching from Matt Martin. Really looking to add Humic acid to my program this year. I'd like to add sea kelp along with that, but I'm not finding many products here in the states. The only thing I can find is a product called N-EXT RGS from John Perry at Greene County Fertilizers. I'm sure you've heard Matt & LCN reference him in recent videos. I need to call and price it out to see if it's doable. Combining what I get from you, Matt & LCN (others too, but mostly you three) really gives me confidence in what I am trying to do with my lawn. I should finish laying out my plan this week. When I do, I'll hit you up on Patreon to see if I'm on track or other things you might do. It's admittedly ambitious, but mostly focusing on weed control & building healthy soil. Keen for the match tomorrow. Spurs will give us a good test to see if were improving & how much work we still have to do. Again, great video. Loved the shot of Little Red there towards the end. Excited to see that in action. YNWA John

Awesome mate! So good to start getting into carbon based products. Will really start to up your lawn game! Yeah I’m not sure about products in the states, I’d contact one of those guys and see if they can direct you the right way. Whenever you need help, let me know mate! Nothing wrong with being ambitious, that’s the only way you get places sometimes! Your going to have an awesome lawn with all the research you are putting in. Love it. I’m keen too, won’t be able to watch it live. It’s around 2 in the morning when the game starts so I’ll watch it when I get up just before work. Pretty keen to try that mower out myself! Gotta figure out a good way to use both mowers though, not just the reel mower. Talk soon Ben YNWA

Lawn Tips LCN is putting Greene County products on his web site. It's $100, but it should last me at least me at least a full season, maybe even two. I'm actually going to watch the match instead of the Super Bowl. I support the Patriots, but otherwise really don't care for NFL...Too many rules that make no sense.
@LawnTips7 жыл бұрын
Oh sweet! That’s handy as. How frustrating was that call in the game mate. Devastating!! I thought for sure we had won!
@jdrobbi7 жыл бұрын
Lawn Tips 1.) Why on earth was there so much extra time? It should've been 3 max. 2.) Neither call was a penalty. Kane was offside and both should've been carded for diving! Absolutely ridiculous officiating. I was screaming at the TV. That said, Spurs are a good side and going in I would've been happy with a draw. Was Salah magic or what?!? Loved the Houdini act he pulled on the second goal!

Hey, when replacing your lawn, you should consider removing it from the edge of your house. I believe that can lead to damp and white ants. Put in a path or something else
@LawnTips7 жыл бұрын
You’re not wrong 👍🏽 If I had the funds and the time I would definitely look at that as an option. Since I can’t, I’ll be making sure the ground runs away from the house to stop it as much as possible.

Totally not about grass ... Australia has a reputation for having some very dangerous snakes and spiders. I'm curious whether you have ever had unwelcome visitors to your yard.
@LawnTips6 жыл бұрын
Hey mate, Nah no snakes or anything in my yard. I do have a few red backs in the shed which are very dangerous. When I lived out of town we had snakes around a bit. Not fun.
@paulm.74226 жыл бұрын
Ah ... Latrodectus! In Texas, we get that genus of spider too, but Mactans .... the Black Widow! The females are the most dangerous to humans, as they carry more venom. Gotta be careful around those, especially with your little guy running around!
