Gracie is also tearing it up as the new co-star of Max’s “Sex Lives of College Girls” as a transfer student who joined the roomies after Renee Rapp’s exit from the show. Gracie’s playing… wait for it… a music theater kid. In the fourth episode, her character auditions for a show by singing Katy Perry’s “Roar” a cappella. What you hear is her actual singing recorded in the take, because Justin Noble, the producer, trusted Gracie to perform it live. In one of Gracie’s social media posts talking about the experience, Noble replied “remember when the entire crew dropped their jaws when they heard it live? I do!” It’s so good, just like her and her brother’s live performances in the acoustic-ish videos. This level of talent is rare.

I'm not a bit surprised that she wowed the crew. She and Lawrence are amazing live, no backing track, just them sounding amazing.

Agree to disagree. At very least, it certainly isn’t hurting. But if you’re right and I’m wrong, I’ll say this: if Madonna could survive “Shanghai Surprise” and “Body of Evidence,” Gracie can survive a regular role in a streaming comedy-drama.
