ONE WORD CAN ONLY BE SAID OF THIS GREAT SHOW... GREAT.... ONE OF THE FINEST EXHIBITIONS OF THE THE BEST OF THE GREATEST SWINGS BAND IN LIVING HISTORY. WE CAN ONLY THANK ONE PERSON..... LAWRENCE WELK WHO HAS PRODUCED SOME OF THE GREATEST RE-RUNS IN HISTORY. I WILL NOT STOP WATCHING THESE GREAT SHOWS UNTIL I AM WATCHIN G AND LISTENING THIS GREAT MUSIC WHEN IT WILL BE PERPETUAL IN HEAVEN WHERE I HOPE TO GO EVENTUALLY. AT 88, I WILL NOT PERHAPS HAVE TO WAIT SUCH A LONG TIME.

Our local PBS station no longer carry Lawrence Welk. KZbin is the only way to get Welk now. This episode was wonderful. An hour and twenty five minute of fabulous big band, performed by some of the best musicians in the business. Thank you for posting this show.

One sound that is often overlooked is that big upright string bass. No electric bass guitar can match that smooth, solid sound.

I was born too late. Ha! I did a fake cameo appearance pretending to play lead trumpet in Benny Goodman's final touring band in 1985, ten years before I was born. Amazing what can be done these days with technology.

The only program worth watching on TV, at least SC Public Television still has the Lawrence Welk show. This is the only thing I bother with on TV anymore, the rest is garbage.
