Don't be jelly. You'll die faster in Florida in those Rivers then you will in California. It takes a lot of experience and iron balls to do what he does here in Florida. One bump from a gator and if you're in south Florida like he is, a crocodile, if you don't believe in God you will once you hit that water......

The stretch of river I grew up fishing had an "outfitter" open next to it several years ago. I will not fish the sections I did as a teenager due to the ignorant paddlers (easy folks, not all paddlers are ignorant, retract your offense). It did force me to explore other sections of the river and I found some good smallie waters as a result. Killer float trip though, take it in stride and enjoy the beauty.

Epic is the most overused word in the youtube fishing lexicon, but I haven't seen anything this amazing since the Amazon trip, everything for the thumbnail onward was incredible. KZbinr fisherman take a note: day fishing in the backdrop of awe inspiring creation where you have to limbo to get downstream through monsoon rain and beat down hungry alligators qualifies as "Epic". Mind blowing day!

Used to swim those spillways as a kid before they rebuilt them to what they are now. Used to create an air pocket you could get underneath and come up under and hang out when the water was high. The further west you go the skinnier, darker and more jurrasic it got. Used to go WELL past Indiantown Rd decades ago but I believe it's all overgrown now. Memories...
