I spent over a week trying to have the "Ultimate Florida Day". Instead I was humbled and challenged. What was a frustrating week in the process, once finished was an awesome week full of exploration.

Mr. Lindsey I have been watching you for years and it apparent you know how to fish. What’s most interesting is you have evolved into a story teller, which is far more difficult in my opinion. I have fished Florida waters for 55 years and caught a lot of fish but as I started to get older it became apparent that just being on the water alone with nature was the reward not the fish. Keep telling these wonderful stories.

Lawson, you should be a story teller. You are fantastic at it. The hunt is more enjoyable than the kill. You have a unique opportunity to show people that is tough fishing during the winter and one should be grateful just to be out in nature. Period!

The reality is most anglers have days and weeks like this all the time. For you to film it and make a beautiful video out of it is awesome. I’m reminded like you that time out on the water is precious. Enjoy the sound, images, and attempts. Keep up the great work. I loved this.

Thanks for profiling the beauty of our great State. I appreciate your honesty and candidness. I’ve lived and fished all over Florida my entire life. NE Florida and Jacksonville has the best inshore fishery in the State IMO. The St. John’s River is so unique, a mixture of fresh, brackish and salt within short distances. You should do a video up here sometime, you’ll be glad u did. Big redfish, trout, flounder, sheephead, and black drum in abundance. We also get tarpon, mangrove snapper, Spanish mackerel, trophy Bass, ect.

Cool video near my stomping grounds. I thought for sure the big one was gonna hit at the spot where the sun was going down. They are in there and they like that sunset bite there. When I get my boat I am definitely going to hit the dirt road freshie spot too. Salt and fresh, what a state we live in Great job! Keep them coming. Wind and grind until you find!

Thanks for sharing. We are only capable of catching what's biting at the spot. Some days the fish arent there or are being picky and thats all part of it. I to feel the same way about getting back to just enjoying a day out on the water because in the back of my head i know how challenging fishing can be at times. Then when you set no expecations and catch what your internally after it becomes that much more fulfilling.

🤔hummm, it’s those slow times on the water that make you appreciate the good and great times, I was out for two hours previous to writing this comment didn’t get squat , but just being out there makes for a good day. I use to take being out on the water fishing for granted but then it hit me there are people paying hundreds of dollars to to do what I’m doing , stuff they dream about before they have to return to their 9 to 5 every day job , watching sun sets ,the smell of the ocean , the sound of waves crashing and watching Mr.heron eat his catch of the day, and if all the stars align you can even get a fish dinner, it just never gets old .

After reading the comments, I've gotta say never let the negative one's keep you down...EVER!!! What you do is AMAZING! I'm not a guy who comments online ever, but I don't feel like you deserve anything negative. I live on an amazing & historic steelhead/salmon/trout river in Oregon, and I am currently headed to relocate, w/my family, to your state. Sorry to be an import, I know how it feels to deal with imports. But our coast is dying, and I wanna show my family how GREAT fishing and exploring can be. Keep doing what you do...best wishes from the west coast, and to your family.

Timely video for me! From MA, and just spent my annual week in Florida. Most days walked out the door in the morning and fished a lake, and then drove to a bay or the ocean for the afternoon (about 20 minutes away). Caught fish, but was tougher than some years (and i admit some grumbling to my wife...lol), and also had a couple big 'ens shake the hook. But guess what...I love the beauty and diversity of Florida fishing, and can't wait to go back!!! Thanks for the video!

Hey buddy one tip that I’ve always used and my buddy too with top water in Florida is as soon as your bait hits the water is to like let it sit for like 5 to 10 Seconds to act like a bait fish just got dropped and then slowly go from slow to faster when you stop off and I’ve caught a lot of fish doing that
