I read this out in the UNFamily Court here , and refused to disobey 1 Timothy 5:8, and did 3 months in gaol for Contempt of Court where I led guys to the LORD, tutored 30 who were doing a correspondence course in Reading and writing, kept Prison Fellowship alive and pulled rank as a JP on a prison guard who clearly falsely accused a fellow prisoner. That Prison Guard had to back -off and still remembers that incident to this day (even though the events happened in 1989). 😇

Pastor Gary,two things. First, nowhere in the Bible does it say that satan took 1/3 of the angels with him.Rev 12:4 says "the dragon swept a third of the stars of heaven and cast them to the earth".This is not at the fall of satan,it is when he was poised to kill the baby Jesus as he was being born. Second,the book of Enoch,which is quoted in Jude 14 and 15,states that demons are the spirits of dead nephilim,not the fallen angels. Love you Pastor Gary

In chapter 7 verse 9, it says the dragon was hurled to the earth and his angels with him.
@deborasimning16092 ай бұрын
The passage that best supports the idea that Satan took one third of the angels with him in rebellion is Revelation 12:3-4. John sees a sign in heaven: “An enormous red dragon with seven heads and ten horns and seven crowns on its heads. Its tail swept a third of the stars out of the sky and flung them to the earth.” John then relates that the dragon was hurled down to the earth and positively identifies it as “that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray” (Revelation 12:9). The dragon is not thrown to earth alone, however: “His angels were cast out with him” (verse 9). The angels that are ejected from heaven with Satan we associate with the “third of the stars” that the dragon’s tail swept from heaven to earth in verse 4. If the “stars” of Revelation 12:4 are indeed a symbolic reference to Satan’s “angels” in verse 9, then what we have is a reference to the fall of a portion of the angels (the heavenly hosts) who followed Satan in his rebellion. Two thirds of the angels remained loyal to God and are called the “holy angels” in Scripture (e.g., Mark 8:38); one third of the original angels joined Satan and are called “unclean spirits” or “demons” today (e.g., Mark 9:25). The biblical book of Jude quotes from chapter 1 of the Book of Enoch in Jude 1:14-15, “Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied about these men: ‘See, the Lord is coming with thousands upon thousands of his holy ones to judge everyone, and to convict all the ungodly of all the ungodly acts they have done in the ungodly way, and of all the harsh words ungodly sinners have spoken against him.’” Jude’s quotation does not mean the Book of Enoch is inspired by God or that it should be in the Bible. it should be understood that fallen angels are certainly demonic. Jude’s quote is not the only quote in the Bible from a non-biblical source. The apostle Paul quotes Epimenides in Titus 1:12, but that does not mean we should give any additional authority to Epimenides’ writings. The same is true with Jude 1:14-15. Jude quoting from the Book of Enoch does not indicate the entire Book of Enoch is inspired, or even true. All it means is that particular passage of Enoch is true. It is interesting to note that no scholars believe the Book of Enoch to have truly been written by the Enoch in the Bible. Enoch was seven generations from Adam, prior to the flood (Genesis 5:1-24). Evidently, though, the words Jude quotes were genuinely something that Enoch prophesied-or the Bible would not attribute it to him: “Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied about these men” (Jude 1:14). This saying of Enoch was somehow handed down through the generations and eventually recorded in the Book of Enoch.

Generally what you preach is sound. The millennial ideas I personally believe the Bible teaches that we are currently living in the end times, which started when Christ conquered death. At Jesus' return will be the end of the old world. If you have not received Christ as your Savior at that time, it will be too late. No do overs.

You, conservatives and Christians preach… GO VOTE… BUT YOU DO NOT SAY….. GO VOTE FOR PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP…… PREACHING… GO VOTE…. WITHOUT WHO TO VOTE… THE VOTER COULD VOTE FOR THE WRONG PERSON…. FOR FREEDOM, FOR PROSPERITY, AS STATED IN THE BIBLE AND FOR PROTECTION OF CHRISTIAN RIGHTS VOTE FOR PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP.

If a Christian is true to God, the Christian will pray for guidance and concernment everytime they hear a debate , not ridicules . A true Christian reads their Bible to know what all we need to know, including who to vote for. The preachers job isn't to tell us who to vote for. The preacher is to keep us on track, to help us grow nearer to God and Jesus , our savior. The preachers job is for guidance to live a life that God hopes all men will see is true and right. But, God gave us all free will. 'To know Him is to love Him. ' People won't KNOW Him unless they read His Word. People won't understand His word if they don't listen to the words and study, and live with faith .

It was a joke and referenced a rival team. I am a Roll Tide fan and many a time has a similar joke come from Auburn, Tennessee and Georgia fans, etc. Focus on the biblical message and not the joke and relax a bit. No need to get offended. Honestly that joke can be applied to groups on every college campus.
