Gavin Newsom is an idiot. Theres no shortage of peiple whomhate him pro gun or not. He made California a sanctuary state and nobody was happy about it except for illegals and the sjws who said you do not support immigration. and today I say no I don't support illegal immigration I support legal immigration. There's a bunch of other stuff that you did that nobody liked. Also there isn't going to be enough batteries going around to make Tesla electric cars for everyone. Also hydrogen fuel cell cars are super expensive. Toyota is the only company that currently makes them and those are $60,000.

Your car has too many cylinders. A car at 40 mph has a 90% kill rate with one hit. Your long gun only kills 68% of the time. A 4000 pound car at 40 mph has more destructive energy than a 20mm cannon.

I had a homeless man walk up to us with a knife drawn out late at night. My friend and I had no idea what to do, luckily the man didn’t have any issues with us. He didn’t seem all there or maybe just on some kind of drugs. He kept saying something along the lines that he was homeless and had nothing to lose and that people should be worried about homeless people because they never know what they have on them. He fist bumped us and then walked off. My heart sank and my friend didn’t even see the knife till after I mentioned it. I told my family about the situation and I decided to get one for myself just for protection, but let me tell you that it was an absolutely scary situation.

Time from hands on the table to spoon at the throat is a fraction of a second with a little too much time practicing such a stupid maneuver but it actually showed practicing draw is needed because the first few times I was a fumbling idiot, afterwards a sufficiently trained idiot playing with a spoon quick drawing in front of a mirror hoping nobody was watching through the window, but then I realized it was no matter, for I had the spoon...

I think that occupational exception is written into the law. But yeah, I get it. I carry a paring knife to work for lunch and I'm no chef- technically a dagger. I dunno, I think most cops get it and will give you a pass if they like you on stuff like this. But if you are caught up in some other crime, have a rap sheet, or just being a punk, then they'll pile on the technicalities.

@@bryantv2410 Not in California. A dagger can be illegal if it not carried in the open. Depending on local laws regarding length and so on also. @@garywheeler7039 yes if you're looking at the actual definition of a dagger is a two sided blade but California considers any fixed blade a dagger for example a ka-bar, you'll have to carry it on your open waist because Cali law would just throw it under dagger since it's not a folding knife, even though a ka-bar is a one sided blade.

When you carry, it is your responsibility to stay alert and be aware of your surroundings at all times. If someone can take the gun or knife from you, you shouldn't be carrying them in the first place. It doesn't make it safer just because you no longer do open carry.

So, serious question here as well as a little backstory. Question: What about axes? Would an axe fall under the category of dirk or dagger? Would I be able to carry it opened or concealed? Also would I be able to carry an axe or fixed knife openly in view in my personal vehicle but not on my person? Backstory: So, I used to do medieval reenactment and at times when not doing combat with weapons made of rattan I would generally carry an axe openly on my person. I also would transport this axe to and from events in the cab of my vehicle and it would generally easily be within reach. I also have a cold steel tanto (large fixed blade knife) that I keep stored openly in my vehicle for a multitude of reasons such as glass breaker, seatbelt cutter, self defense, general purpose knife for any cutting needs. From my perception of the penal codes I have read I have always thought that these things were legal but I'm no lawyer so I figured I would ask. My county and city have no additions to the state knife laws other than being unable to carry any weapon within city limits in a public park.

I feel your pain guys I used to live in Massachusetts. I eventually realized there were too many brainwashed scumbags in the state to make a change so I moved to a place where the people would actually fight for their basic rights. If Massachusetts or California or newyork or other liberal infested states decide to fight for their rights I'll be the first to join you. I wish you all the best. Don't follow unconstitutional laws. I feel like what’s missing from this content is the fact a knife is an all purpose tool, defense being just one one purpose. As a trades worker, it’s a fundamental tool for cutting, shaving, prying, tightening old slotted scews, whittling, as well as opening blister packs, box packages, cutting up food and using them as forks for food chunks… the idea of a “fidgit toy” seems meaningless to me.

To carry a fixed blade in a carry bag/backpack make sure it's not readily accessible, old leather bayonet frogs have a belt buckle style handle strap should qualify but if you aren't sure of an idea get a hold of the state attorney general office and ask if compliant and also ask your local D.A.'s office & P.D.
