I always had concerns with ChatGPT, and I have not used AI for my legal writings. I also have other issues with ChatGPT and the like that is beyond the purview of your video. Love your channel, keep up the great work.

Defense attorneys have time limits and need permission to do legal research depending on each client's billing guidelines. Knowledge of the law is presumed as the client is relying on the law firm as a legal expert who is supposed to already know applicable laws.

Good points. Defense clients sometimes don't realize that the law changes over time, or at least they often don't want to pay for the time it takes an attorney to check for new developments or novel, fact-specific applications of it in similar cases.

@@LegalPadLaw Thank you for the reply Nick. Love the channel. I believe the AI will improve, and that the legal profession is in danger of becoming largely automated within the next 2.5 decades. I would be interested to see your analysis of the company DoNotPay and CEO Joshua Browder who was going to equip a litigant, possibly pro se, with AI glasses that would have fed the defendant with applicable arguments and law in a traffic ticket hearing around January of this year. He was threatened by multiple Legal Bar organizations for potential prosecution for the unauthorized practice of law and, thus, withdrew the use of the AI. There is definitely a tie in to this video.
