I found that a long neck funnel made it easier to direct sand along the sides of the glass. Had trouble controlling where the sand went using paper. Great idea of putting a container in a container to keep the soil from being seen from the outside.

Thanks for the moisture meter idea I seem to always over water my succulents and they end up dying 😞 so I gave up on them but I think I might buy a few today and see where my imagination takes me thank you for the beautiful idea this is one project that will help my depression❤

I have those needleless syringes in 30 and 60ccs. I use aquarium pump tubing that fits on the syringes to get water exactly where I want it when watering my cactus and succulents.

hi. im planning on making a beach terraruim for someone as a gift. i wamt to use a 10 gallon fish tank, sand, seashells, moss, and fake water. id like to plant some succulents and maybe some cacti. would you please give me some tips on putting this together successfully? i imagine that the floura would be at one end and the fake water (using resin or a layer of hotglue) at the other end/corner.
