I actually use similar but different methods for the same purpose often. It was neat seeing how you did it and gave me some new ideas.

12:10: Haha, it's interesting which german words are used in english language. "Low end Schmutz" (i.e. dirt) I observed, with Ableton or Bitwig people seem to usually use Abletons FX in the sound chain. E.g., you added Abletons EQ instead the one inside of Serum.

I do as well. Basically, you wanna separate Sound Design and Mixing. Do your sound design inside the synth, maybe even use plugins afterwards to get the tone you want. Then, add EQ and compression to fit the sound in the mix. The easiest thing there is Lowcutting every instrument that isn't a kick drum or a bass. You don't want a busy low end, where every instrument has something going on, on big loud speakers. You can't hear it on your headphones or studio monitors, but it's there.

Fantastic video! Totally sounds like something Regis would make or an early Surgeon track.
