We had this song at our wedding, and I loved it, it sounds even better in person, everyone. A recording cannot do it justice. We had a very low-cost wedding, in the yard at my parents home, but had a string quartet play for it. They were mostly not professionals ( wasn't their "day job" ) and were affordable for us, especially as we had no other options available for music for it, not having much experience, knowledge, equipment or time. We'd just had a very tough couple of decades on pur farm and in our family's issues. I prayed for years for relief from the hardship and for a very good husband. At age 26 I met him, got married at age 27 and was able to gradually leave the family business which, sadly, was still too full of stress and issues which I had no control over. My marriage was rocky for 1st several years too, as we had a lot to learn about each other and both had had different traumas as kids/in life and communicated very differently. Praise to God for getting us through that time and those times, with the sure hope of a glorious eternity in the presence of and with our awesome God, Redeemer, Creator yet to come ! I'm sure we'll be enjoying this and even more amazing music of all kinds ( almost ;) ) there !

Sounds like the general adaptation to me. Does not stray very far from original. Really not sure why people pick this song for weddings. It sounds like a sad occasion with bliss as a cover. I have been hearing other options better. Some come from various movies. More uplifting songs but in a medium pitched melody.

I thank God that He allowed me to meet Jou and be able to discover this song. One of the things that Jou shared was a masterpiece. I am a Filipina and Jou is a Japanese. Even though we can't relate to each other's culture still we both love listening to music regardless of its language. The Canon in D is classical and have no lyrics in it but the musical instrument itself conveys a beautiful message. I hope I got to communicate with him again in God's will. He is really special to me.

음악 시간에 선생님께서 들려주셨는데 너무 아련한 느낌이어서 순간 울컥했어요 다시는 돌아오지 않을 사람을 계속해서 기다리는 느낌... 되게 지브리 애니메이션 한 편을 본 것 같은 느낌이에요 음악으로 이렇게 사람의 감정을 움직인다는 게 너무 신기한 것 같아요 선생님께서 캐논 디 장조가 원곡이라고 하셨는데, 캐논 변주곡에서는 느끼지 못했던 감정들이 확 올라오는 것 같아요 음악 시간 이후로 캐논 디 장조에 빠져서 매일같이 듣고 있어요 주로 이 영상을 많이 보는데 이제는 캐논 변주곡을 들으면 허전할 지경이에요 정말 처음으로 악기 소리가 아름답다고 느꼈어요 이렇게 아름다운 소리로 마음을 울려 주셔서 감사합니다
