You are going to be the standard on youtube for running a 2600 now. Thanks. I had to see it to believe, since I'm always in the tractor and no time to watch or turn around. It looks like the pan is just skimming the top of the bed. The fat bottom of the bed is getting hit by the cleaning shoe, leaving dirt for the covering disks. At 9:50 it looks like you could put the cleaning shoes a notch deeper and get more loose dirt. Normally I have my covering disks tilted all the way back to dig up more dirt, but with the weights on like you have, I will try the other way. Always a stressful day until you get a settling rain (minus the wind).

Great video. People get to see how hard it is to work on a fram. It's no fun being short handed. But the important part is y'all got it done. Y'all stay safe be careful and God bless y'all.

Farmer Dre, obviously you are at your busy time just had a quick question. I'm a small grower on Cape Cod MA. 4k plugs, 10 x 220 foot rows. I lay the plastic myself with a 2400 rainflo. My field has about a 10 degree slope so this makes it a bit more challenging but i manage. i notice you lay 1 drip tape. I lay double is that necessary? Charlie I have learned so much from your videos. My plants went in a week ago. Also wondering when to start with a fertilizer other than starter?

My boss and I got our 50 rows made yesterday. How do y’all level the dirt between the rows after making the beds?

@@OxAO if you carefully watch the plastic mulch video, you’ll see that the rainflo creates a little mound of dirt between the rows after he made the pass. I’m trying to find out how they level that dirt.

That is the question. We've got the newer 2670 which allows for hydraulic adjustment of the covering disks. They allow you to make dynamic adjustments while the implement is underway. Seems to help when you're getting immediate feedback about what's working and what's not, instead of constantly stopping and starting to try out new adjustments. With a bit of tinkering it's possible to get rid of the ridges between the beds (or at least greatly minimize them). With an implement like this you're never really done adjusting because you can never bed the same field twice. What works this time may not work next time when the soil moisture and tilthe are slightly different. The Rain Flo is so much better for this than the smaller, lighter machines I've owned in the past though. They're expensive but worth it. And the company's customer service is amazing.
