Very helpful. I use a scraper for my glass palate also. I can’t wait to take your course and learn from you. I really enjoy your painting style.

Thanks for the helpful video, Layne. I've been thinking about getting a good glass palette instead of using paper palettes; it will pay off in the long run ( nice paintings in the background !)❤

I clean my palate off the same way. Works beautifully. When I'm done with my razor blade I want the glass clean from any small particles left with a Lent free paper towel thank you for addressing these important information for beginners very helpful indeed. I see you're working on another Masterpiece beautiful paint paint and keep them coming❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Same here. I use a 16x20 clear smooth glass cutting board I got from Amazon. Was gonna paint the bottom neutral gray, but just got a neutral gray poster board and slid under it. 4 inch wide razor scraper. Also move paint to clean and then put it back. Also made a shallow wooden box that completely covers it and put felt bumpers treated with clove oil under the box with the pallete.. Both box lid and oil to try to help extend paint life. Can't stand caked up paint to work in. Really love you work and videos... And yes, don't eat the paint 😂

Hi. The glass palette on a lazy susan is a great tip. I do have a desk with a glass top and scrape that often with a razor. Before you scrape off you could press a piece of canvas to it and using a breyer (brayer?) roll over it and make an underpainting for an abstract or scoop all the usable paint into a sealed jar with a bit of clove oil to make a neutral gray to prime other canvasses with. I like a lot of texture in my painting so boogers aren't a worry. hahaha...boogers , exactly!

I once painted an entire landscape from the paint I recovered at the bottom of my solvent bucket. It was a beautiful gray!

Sometimes I like to wipe my palette in poo, then I have a poo palette… It’s not always the right thing to do.
