Thanks for watching! I spent a lot of time doing up plans on my computer to try to fit everything in. Didn’t originally want a helix, but it kinda became necessary.

Great layout! Really nice to start the Saturday morning with a calm video for breakfast. I will be dismantling my layout shortly and planning my new layout. My basic plan is a similar idea to what you have done. I look forward to the next video. Best regards from northern Sweden! /Joakim

Appreciate the layout tour; I’m looking at a similar size room and configuration in N scale. It’s inspiring to see what you’ve been able to accomplish in HO in that same footprint particularly in regard to continuous running. Hope to see more updates - Thanks!

Hi Rainer. Thanks for taking the time to make another great video, The paper mill and other features like the diesel shops are looking great.I just drove by the yard a couple of days ago and the memories of working in the car shops and yard crew as a student came rolling back. Keep up the excellent work. Thanks

That was a nice explanation/tour of the layout and fun to watch the train travel. You can check out any number of my videos to see how I utilized a steel mill background to create depth on my layout. One part of my layout is in a room smaller than yours and I model in O scale. Imagine that. Thanks for sharing.

For a 8×16 Ho scale, double deck layout...wow a job well done . Question: Correct me if I'm wrong ,looks like peco track and peco Electrofrogs ? Also a new Subscriber 👍😎DD
@achb-railwayАй бұрын
Thanks for watching! Mix of Peco and Atlas code 100 track. Mainly Peco Insulfrogs, with two Electrofrogs mixed in (that I bought used in a pile of Insulfrogs).

Great timing, road bed is drying, fireplace is going, pop corn is now ready. Nice tour, I can't wait to see another run at night once you get around to working on the additional buildings and lighting. One thing I am going to have to think about is getting a camera mounted so I can check for scenery work that I missed down the road. Any suggestions?

@@paulflak2823 I use the DJI Osmo Pocket on my flat car, but I bought a cheap bodycam on Amazon that I tried - it’s smaller and works ok as well. The resolution isn’t as good as the DJI, but it would do the job.

Enjoyed the update Rainer. What cam/vid are you using for the cab ride shots?

Osmo Pocket (first version) on a flat car with a piece of 1/2” pink styrofoam as a spacer so the gimbal head can move.

A suggestion for beginners check out kzbin.info/www/bejne/n5SsnZhtg8hnd68, this guy's ability to create realistic landscapes is mind blowing, never mind he explains in detail how to paint plaster so it looks like real rocks etc.
