Nice video and addition to the layout. Love the scene at the switch.

Your switch machine and all the other details are great. The building and the removable roof with lighting were also wonderful. Nice mideling. Hope to see more in future.

That alternate dimension sounds really scary. Glad you made it out alive!

Thanks for the update, LIRRMB. You got a lot done and it looks good. The narrow gauge looks great, and I'd consider leaving it in place just for show. But it would be a shame for that little critter not get any work to do. You weren't specific about the problems you had with operations, but maybe a break and some thought would help you work the bugs out. In any case, hang in there. Cheers from Wisconsin!

I've cooled down a bit since then. I'm thinking I'll make a small diorama out of it all.

Nice additions! Access bridges can be temperamental but your back will thank you. I have a swing-up bridge for my layout that works pretty well.
@longislandrailroadmontaukb982 Жыл бұрын
Thanks. My back need all the help it can get. Luckily I rarely need the bridge so I don't necessarily need a swing up style. Which is good because I'm sure it would exceed my skill level to make one.

Grant, your videos have motivated me to get back to work on a planned small switching operation. I was especially intrigued by your carfloat operations and the spreadsheet you built for that aspect of your operations. Jokingly in that first video, you note "that for anyone who might be interested, here's what the coding looks like behind the spreadsheet," followed by a few quick frames of the coding. Honestly, I've very interested in the spreadsheet and that coding as it would help me immensely in my planned carfloat operations, so I was wondering if you would mind sharing the spreadsheet.

I apologize, I could have sworn I responded to you right away! Well, better late than never. If you really want the spreadsheet feel free to email me at jsigswor@gmail.com. Warning though, it comes unsupported!

You could run 12 volts through the wires and the cat will only eat them one more time and not get hurt, lol. I really like the switch machine you built, it was very realistic.

Oh, those pesky alternate dimensions! Was that the same one where Spock has a Van Dyke beard? Regardless, I'm glad you made it back.

No, but it was close. Someone asked me for my agonizer and I ran.

Nah. Don’t pull the narrow gauge out. Leave it for a few days and rethink. Is it track issues, electrical issues or rolling stock issues. Have a look at it step by step. Cheers Peter.

Sound advice. I'm thinking of making a small working diorama with it, but we'll see.
