I am an Indian passport holder. Can’t I visit the jewel without Singapore visa ? I heard something about visa free transit facility (VFTS) for Indians . Please reply

It's only applicable if you have US UK etc. countries visa. Otherwise you can't visit jewel. As mentioned in video, you can see the waterfall through airport metro.

Yes i think you will need transit visa if connecting flight on different PNR. You should definitely check with both the airlines.
