Good content but I disagree that Kendrick broke one of the laws of power. He followed it to a T you said that he broke the law making his opponent feel superior- he didnt! That’s why he didn’t drop for a while, giving Drake the false illusion that he was ahead and that’s why he titled the song euphoria cause he’s insinuating that Drake felt euphoria like he won right before drake was destroyed by the song euphoria💯💯💯
@user-mc3qv4pw1p3 ай бұрын
exactly! that was also the purpose of 6:16 in la which was not catchy and had disses that were so hidden that ppl were discrediting it immediately. it made drake believe that this perceived "weak" diss was kendrick's attempt at his own "back to back" record that he mentioned in euphoria. all while kendrick's real "back to back" record was actually not like us which he intended to dominate the charts and clubs with . 6:16 in la gave drake the false confidence to drop family matters the same day, thinking the battle was about to be over.

I’ve lived in LA since 2012…I’ve been around for both artists rise in popularity and acclaim. The mood in Los Angeles right now is so beautiful and the energy throughout the entire city has been ‘electrified’ and humanized at the same time….this is a HUGE moment for ‘the culture’ and the adjacent population of the entire city. Never seen anything like it in the twelve years I’ve been out here. I dont think Drake’s disrespect towards black American culture can be overstated….he kept showing how disconnected and ignorant he truly was throughout the entire ‘beef’. He reeeeeally showed everyone how he is NOT LIKE US
@heavysystemsinc.3 ай бұрын
The criticisms I saw of Drake on the music side of things outside of 'inauthenticity' (ghost writers, etc.) is that he wants to be a pop star using hip hop, but doesn't want to actually make hip hop. He was a manufactured act as far as the hip hop crowd was concerned and so him trying to muscle his way in via pop status just rubbed everyone the wrong way, especially since after people would give him the rub, he'd just moonwalk out, not returning the favor.

Kendrick has also spent his whole artistic career building a fanbase that will pour intently over every single word, phrase, beat, movement, article of clothing etc for more and more and more meaning. Then they will discuss it no end. So he knew very well that even him hinting will have thousands of people openly speaking things, without him having to outright breathe a word. And we adore him for it too. He knew we'd happily cherish chatting away about the many things he's potentially saying. It was super cool to hear him state that in 'Not Like Us' where he tells Drake 'Hey Drake, shape it how you want, the audience ain't slow.' Kendrick knows his audience, and he spoke to us, and we passed on the message. Drake is not clever enough to harness the people like that.

Honestly, I don't see one he didn't use. Really, name one and he used it: He planned this for 10 years (maybe not for 10, but he's been on this path for 10) and baited him exactly when ready. But it was a total surprise for drake, as kendrick sneak disses had kind of died down over the years. But the release of "Mr Morales" applies perfectly to those 4 rules : "Re-Create Yourself" "Preach the Need for Change but Never Reform Too Much at Once" and even " So Much Depends on Reputation-Guard It With Your Life" he revealed profound emotions in the album but nothing too damning in fact (that he cheated on his wife? for a rap artist that's expected. that he wasn't abused? that he does therapy? nothing crazy in fact). but now he can "Never Appear Too Perfect" "Keep Your Hands Clean". He "warned" drake but in fact waited for the second the boy named his baby mama, to "Disarm and Infuriate with the Mirror Effect" and drop his own nuke(s) on drake. Even the first rule "Never Outshine the Master". Kendrick never considered drake to be the master. For him, that's 2pac. He always says it like that.

Oooh. This is a fascinating method of exploring how Drake took the L There's this rule in acting of _never play it angry_ bc from there you have nowhere else to go. And these have undoubtedly been PERFORMANCES & Drake has been acting angry - even in the face of what could have been considered complimentary at times (KL & Big Sean). I'd never heard of Power before - certainly interesting in how it applies to this, ego and how to play your hand. Totally think the rules could get misused by ill-intended people, though in doing so I guess they'd contradict some of the rules themselves? Also, the internet was clue'd up on Drake's ways as he started talking to more high profile CHILDREN years ago (billie eilish was super notable at the time), now it just feels undeniable. Just like this video being the distinct, in depth work that it is. Appreciate the insights 💛

I don’t agree that Kendrick dug Drake up to to be relentless. The Pop Out was a Juneteenth celebration concert. Drake did a music video for Family Matters. Either way, Kendrick clearly stated that he would “blick ninjas all in their coffin.”

Fantastic first video of yours for me to stumble upon! Ive followed greene and the stoic cohorts for a bit so this is up my alley. Also have you ever thought about doing a Wayne Static cosplay? lol your hair is perfectly gravity defying for it!

Now yatchy and others are making him look weaker by telling us how unbothered Drake was. 😅 We remain unconvinced.

Every Track has aged like a fine wine. The timing of every drop perfection. Hip-hop history was made. Everyone but Drake seems to know. Kdot just took his spot.

That rule about using other peoples leg work and effort for your benefit is something Drake has been doing for over a decade. 😆 🤣

@roachdoggjr4648 😆 🤣 😂 he would never be that tactical. Too stupid. It's like he accidentally fell into good decisions in any beef. Lol that back to back was THE only good choice and he prolly didn't think of it. Lol
