Respectfully, there's is no other producer that could have been a better fit for Bone than DJ Uneek. His tracks were made for their flow and their flow was made for his tracks. They had the world wrapped up when creepin on a come up dropped. They had the mystique, the talent, the topics, the look, the tracks. Then 1st of the month drops later with one of the best rap tracks ever created imo. As far as who the better producer to work with them is DJ Uneek over Dr. Dre. A close second would be The Legendary Traxter. He produced for Do or die, Psycho Drama and Twista to name a few. He did Po pimp, Magic, Do what you wanna do, Adrenaline Rush album to name a few as well.

U-neek and Bone is the perfect combo- there are a few other people who made awesome tracks for them but U-neek will always be the real 6th member for me. Those records are undeniable- I would love to see them get back with him and do another record where they cover all the bases of what they're capable of

I 100% agree with you @nightfall5317. Bone Thugs is my favorite rap group of all time, and them and DJ U-Neek fit with each other like peanut butter and jelly. As great as Dr. Dre is, he just wouldn't have the chemistry with Bone like DJ U-Neek had.

Glad Lay cleared that up. Been a bone fan since 1994, but always wondered why Flesh wasnt on none of the album covers besides Creepin On Ah Come Up, and his solo albums werent on Ruthless. Years later, i had heard he was never signed to Ruthless, which made sense, but i never knew why. I just assumed that Flesh had legal troubles. Im glad Lay confirmed it.

Also, they wanted Art of War to be more like Crossroads instead of letting Bone do what they wanted to. They said Eazy let them work how they wanted, but other people had their own visions and made bone sound how they wanted them to.

I was in the 5th Grade at the time I came around to knowing about Bone-Thugs-n-Harmony (probably WAY earlier than that) and some of EVERYBODY I went to school with was trying to rap like them. Had this one boy, who kept muttering and messing up so bad, we called him Funny Bone and was hoping the group would come and scoop 'em up. Had another one that used Kris Kross backwards style with the Bone Style. Forgot what he wanted to be called. If only we had these cellphones back then... Unless you had one of those gigantic VHS camcorders in the $700 range, nobody was gonna see it to believe it. I wanted to grow my Afro lie Bizzy Bone after I saw him wearing the shower cap in some of the Yo! Magazines but Mom felt like he was a negative stereotype. 😮

It was a tie to me and plus they didn't even play all the East 99 hits on the album. The line up of music was confusing and if they did play all Bone hits on VERZUZ game over for Three Six Mafia. They not even in the same galaxy as Bone. But sh** they did surprise me with all this hits they had to hang in there with Bone! 💯

To me they don't the same as much as people say. There are similarities tho. The similarities were horrocore content, Imagery, and at times melodies on slower trappy beats.. Faces of death Album imo is probably when they were the most similar. But Bone Rapped faster, with longer melodies, and more Diverse melodies compared to (Lord Infamous/Koop). When Bone slowed down their flow to slower beats I can see it somewhat, but bones Beat selection, and Diverse flows makes them stand out. All 5 sound different within the group too. 36 imo had a slower Choppy Flow for the most part.

If anything if Bone would've collaborated with DJ Paul and Three Six Mafia they would've stayed hotter way past the year 2000. Once 2pac died California rap scene was dead. Most Bone fans wanted to hear them rap over a Three Six Mafia beat which was the newest sounds in rap. I thought drill music was 36 Mafia at first.

Naaah too much jealousy and ego involved you see how Layzie was talking hella shyt on verzuz. Bone arrogant af still till this day saying what they started. I don’t hear nothing but Memphis beats and triplet flow trying to sound like lord infamous, Skinny pimp, Gangsta Pat, Project Pat, Tommy Wright etc etc. They got way more influence on this generation then Bone. Bone went down hill when Eazy died their last good album was E.1999 group wise.

Come on now. That is not why Pac was upset. He was upset because Krayzie Bone started saying Thug Line. Cock said that was too close to Thug Life. Pac felt like he was biting his style. Listen to the song "Breathing" at 3:19

That was Originally opened up the Great Groups WHODINI & FORCE MD's, and UTFO & WHISTLE. Which was a Group that KANGOL KID put out. We also can't forget the Late Great HEAVY D & THE BOYZ. Which was the Group that AL B. SURE came from. Al who eventually went all the way R&B like The FORCE MD's, and when the 90's came BONE spereheaded and SOLUTIFIED as basically a genre or like LAZYIE said, A LANE! As BONE took that Torch 🔦 and carried it like CHAMPS! Which inspired more Artist to follow suit. As far as BONE THIG & put their stamp on it.
