The Lazar 3 is the latest version of the Lazar Armored Vehicle family of armed personnel carriers. It is designed for various applications and missions. Lazar 3 has a highly sophisticated, modular ballistic protection. The hull is made of armored steel and can be fitted with a spall liner. The applied ballistic protection can be tailored to the specific needs of the user and allows for application of additional state-of-the-art ballistic protection technologies throughout the vehicle service life. The vehicle floor has two levels of anti-mine protection. The powertrain is accommodated in the front right-side of the vehicle in a protected space completely separated from the crew. The central transfer case transmits the torque to all wheels that have independent suspension and provide for the vehicle's high mobility. All the shafts provide power, while the first two steer the wheels. The number of the crew depends on the type of a mission and the weapons used in the vehicle. When the vehicle is equipped with the remote control weapon station (RCWS), the vehicle should be manned with 12 troops (commander, driver, gunner + 9 soldiers), while the version with a turret would be manned with one soldier less. 4 versions of Lazar 3 are developed: Armed with 12.7mm machine-gun RCWS; Armed with 20mm auto-cannon M-55 RCWS Kerber; Launcher of RALAS missiles; Ambulance.

Имеет колесную формулу 8×8 и независимую подвеску всех восьми колес, что обеспечивает машине высокую проходимость и грузоподъемность. Приводная группа расположена в передней правой части машины, в закрытом пространстве, которое полностью изолировано от пространства экипажа, а центральное распределение привода обеспечивает распределение крутящего момента на все колеса. Все оси - приводные, а первые две - управляемые. Двигатель Cummins ISM 500 (11 литров, 373 кВт / 500 л.с., максимальный крутящий момент 2102 Нм).

Serbia also did an upgrade of Lazar 3, new variant is called Lazar 31A and it's got increased alround ballistic protection and a new 30mm autocannon.

I saw the version of this in another video with Praga PLDvK vz.53/59 or Praga (V3S) antiaircraft twin cannon pattern 53/59. That one uses not the newer soviet 30x210B, but 30x210 case diameter 47,5 mm, compared to 40 mm case diameter of 30x165. If Russians used that caliber, upgraded it ? In 80s, I read that if our former Czechoslovakia, there was an unfinished development of 30x210 smoothbore, to fire sabot and HEAT rounds. :P That if they could finish it would be pretty awesome imo.
