@@Golden-uk7tp I started with Kian Mansour's beginner tutorial series. I recommend watching example solves to get decent at block building as well. And make sure you go partially color neutral from the start.

Thanks for this Phillip, I'm a clunky slow roux solver and you did a great job breaking down these solves. It's the creative block building that these top roux solvers do that interests me, they all do the lse a million miles an hour, but you showed us how cleverly and efficiently he built his blocks. More roux breakdowns please, and I hope you enjoy doing more roux.

Phillip himself doesn't even know what Sean is messing up(not doing EOLR) and just repeated said he doesn't understand LSE which is not a responsible action. Plus, during F2B, he missed the key points(like which moves sets up a pair) and talked about other stuff like "you wanna solve the ?? pair first" And one last thing, Sean's efficiency is just terrible. Literally every solve with 4x moves has premade pairs, look at him going back to his normal movecount (5x which is just slightly better than CFOP movecount). Go on to the RMS discord for proof

As a CFOP solver I find roux difficult to lookahead.

And as a Roux solver I find CFOP difficult to lookahead ;) Lookahead for both methods is arguably as difficult, it's just you're looking ahead to different things so if you train yourself to look ahead to cross+1, you won't necessarily be good at FB+DR, and vice versa

As a cfop solver i find it easy to look ahead in roux, bec you can turn slower than in cfop, and not rotating cube helps.

Because both methods has a different type of look ahead. For me, roux look ahead is easier for me because I can easily predict my next pair since it rotation less. My look ahead with cfop is bad tho. Anyway both are good method

I recommend to go with CFOP. Its easier to learn since its an upgrade from the basic method. And if you decide to do bigger cubes like 4x4 or 5x5, roux method is bad.
