I’m amazed you even found an Oliver. He’s ridiculously high priced. I’ve seen some go for over $600, even if they second hand or missing parts. Not sure how long he was in production, but even so, he should not go for that much.

It seems it was destiny for the 14xx to be your favorite steam locomotive. Personally, I think they're quite awesome. Fun Fact: Duck, as well as Oliver himself have their own pairs of autocoaches in the Railway Series; Alice and Mirabel for Duck, and Isabel and Dulcie for Oliver.

Very nice! Last week I added DCC to my Bachmann Oliver! Runs well and hauls my two Hornby auto coaches very well along with Toad! Also, I know what you mean about insane prices, I’ve been trying to collect the Takara Waku Waku TUGS toys. I have Sunshine, but Ten Cents usually goes for about $350 at the least!

Great review, LaZeR! I remember the time I got a Hornby Oliver for Christmas, and then as time grew on, I used it less and less until at last, I sold it and I don’t have it anymore. But I do hope to get another Hornby Oliver sometime soon…

I don't think I like the Bachmann Oliver anymore too I just wanna make it into something different like get a classic Oliver body and then put it on the Bachmann wheel chassis so I can make a better Oliver better than the CGI Bachmann Oliver because like you said the body around the Bachmann Oliver is bad and that you don't like the funnel and the face so I thought I might show you something I can do. It will take time and I just need to be patient.
